If I order this from LLL, am I likely to be stung for import taxes and the extortionate Royal Mail "processing fee"?
It's purely down to luck as to whether you get caught or not. However, I have found that packages from SAE do seem to come through Mount (un)Pleasant unscathed but then you don't get the nice signature.
Yeah, if only 3000 units are going to be made available, then it should be limited to one per customer. Or at least make the entire thing available on iTunes for those who miss out on the boxset.
For us it's been a little over 2 years in the making (Mr Snow blew the surprise last year in an interview) and personally, something I have wanted since September 10, 1993
The price seems right/fair to me given the 4-cd set and (most certainly) great booklet and care. It's nice too to see LLL/MV as excited and proud as the rest of us fans can be.
I too was thinking about an extra copy as a present for my sister which is an X-File fan, but she doesn't care that much about signed copies (if any) so in any case I'll order her copy some time in the future so everyone interested can have one signed copy (if any). I'll try to get one (if any, i.e. I don't know if there will be signed copies).
If you know friends who are fans of this show, get the word out to them about the impending May 10th release. The best way to ensure that LaLaLand knows there is interest in a second set of music for THE X-FILES is strong sales.
For a show that ran on television as long as the X-Files did, it would be easy to fill another four discs of music.
How do we know about the price? Is there an announcement about it already? Does anyone have a link to it? Or is it going to be announced/ready for pre order on May 4th?

You shouldn't be – I'm in the UK, and I've never been stung because ... erm ... let's just say LaLa is very 'customer friendly' when it comes to packaging and labelling etc. And bless them for it, because it's very much appreciated. I don't want to be more specific in case I jinx it ...
Just received my MOH boxset this week, and no nasty surprises from the Royal Mail.
