Normally I might say David Newman, but I think this film is a waste of time for anybody attached to it. Except Junkie XL -- he deserves it, if you know what I mean...

I don't care if this film is the next BATTLEFIELD EARTH. A David Newman JUSTICE LEAGUE score would make my decade.

Well, Zack Snyder´s taste in music just isn´t mine.
Simply put, I would throw a party if everyone could express their displeasure with things they don't like as respectfully and dignified as this. Well done (even if you were being jokingly innocuous in your criticism).
Incidentally, I am a big fan of some Holkenborg (Divergent, Mad Max, Distance Between Dreams) and not a fan of other Holkenborg (Deadpool, Black Mass, Bat v. Super).
Bad so called"composer " attached to a ( I know...Shouldn't judge before seeing it, but it´s the same franchise so they gotta stick to the style which is far beyond bad..) bad movie.
You mean on a film music message board people are thinking about film music? It's horrible that she died, and condolences to her family and those who loved her, but we didn't know her, and it was two months ago. How much grief is expected on an entertainment message board? How long do we wait before it's okay to consider the film again instead of the filmmaker's family tragedy?

Since the news *just* came out, I don't think someone's first response should be "is the film going to get a new composer?".
There are times when my kids say or do things that are so monumentally stupid or selfish, it defies belief. Of course, they're still just kids. And thankfully, it doesn't happen too often.
I will say that it's possible to be completely sympathetic to Zack Snyder and this horrible, horrible situation and at the same time have a thoughtful discussion about what it means for the movie. I'm fascinated by the addition of Whedon. He basically built the model for a how this kind of movie should work, but he's Snyder's polar opposite in terms of tone and approach. I would imagine it's not so different from a TV gig where a director comes into an established style, but Whedon has such a strong voice and will be doing some additional writing as well. I'm very curious now to see what the finished product looks like.
It's simply awful to hear about Snyder's loss and it is completely fine for him and his wife to step away from the movie due to the circumstances. At the end of the day, JL is just a movie -- no more, no less. Snyder lost a beloved daughter and that will never change. And people need to realize that Zack Snyder is a human being, treat him with some dignity considering his loss.
From the way the Hollywood Reporter article put it, Joss is simply overseeing the final phases of post-production and filming the pickups. Snyder originally approached Whedon to write additional scenes for the film, and I have the impression that was done back in February when Joss signed to direct "Batgirl." The studio head stressed that the additional scenes required minimal direction and that Whedon was going to follow Snyder's tone and style.
On the other hand, it seems as though Zack and Deborah will not oversee further edits and cuts to the film. It doesn't sound like Whedon can't replace Tom Holkenborg, but he may stick with him out of loyalty. But I won't be mad if Whedon wants someone else to score JL.
In a statement to THR, Holkenborg said, "As my mentor Hans Zimmer told me — you haven't made it in Hollywood as a composer until you get replaced on a project. So I guess I finally graduated this week. It pains me to leave the project, but a big thanks to Zack for asking me to part of his vision, and I wish Danny, Joss and Warner Bros all the best with Justice League."
