Ohhh yes. I’d like to get my hands on that.

As much as I love Goldsmith, he's no substitute for Conti with me. Plus it's been ages since they released a Conti.

If it's Brainstorm, I may possibly explode

Brainstorm and City Slickers please!

But one of them is probably the CD version of their new Crow expansion

I bet Crow will come for October. Clubs seems to be coming consistently every 2 months now - next one would be around Halloween, I bet crow will land then.

This time around I am wondering gif there are hints in the colours as Matrix and Paycheck were similar colours. Brainstorm would fit the red and green. I'd be happy with the blue being more seaQuest big grin. Hmm those blues might align with I Robot.

Just curious: Are there any remaining unexplained damage Conti titles they hold the rights to, or are you mainly hoping for certain premieres?

How to Train Your Dragon 2?? Didn’t Powell mention it was coming soon!

yes that is a good bet for one of them. I wonder if Varese and Omni are a little miffed at Powell dropping the bomb on their upcoming releases?

Hi Yavar! I'm hoping for any unreleased Conti title, I'm not picky!

Powell's post specifically said the HTTYD 2 expansion was coming out via Back Lot Records.

Varese has nothing to do with that score.

unexplained damage Conti titles

Well this is one of the more amusing examples of phone autocorrect I've encountered thusfar... I wrote "unexpanded" which of course wasn't recognized as a real word, lol...

But Henry, if there are specific unreleased (or unexpanded) Conti titles you want I'm curious what those are. I have a Varese three-fer with Rookie of the Year which I enjoy, and was wondering if any of those scores were longer but they just cut them down to fit three on one album.

Some of the big ones which haven't been released are ROCKY V and BALBOA, DYNASTY and FALCON CREST. And then there are more obscure, yet great, SEDUCTION OF JOE TYNAN, PRIVATE BENJAMIN, FOR KEEPS, CARBON COPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR, THE BIG BLUE and THE BOSS' WIFE to name a few.

Varese only has rights to the first. The other two were released by other labels. Same situation with the Bourne trilogy by Powell I think…

Varese released SUPREMACY but not ULTIMATUM. I'd definitely welcome a bells and whistles edition of SUPREMACY.

Those are good suggestions!

Ah, excellent -- I hope you get some of these, henry. But to be frank there's probably little reason to expect them from Varese, since they apparently haven't had much luck (in terms of sales) releasing premieres in their Club series -- witness Rosenthal's Rooster Cogburg and Conti's The Big Fix (two of their most high profile Club premieres) being put on a clearance sale not that long ago. I suspect you may have to hope for Conti from Intrada or LLL, especially since Robert Townson isn't at Varese any more and I think he was the biggest Conti advocate there.

Varese released SUPREMACY but not ULTIMATUM. I'd definitely welcome a bells and whistles edition of SUPREMACY.

I appreciate the correction! I agree with you that's the one of the three I'd most want expanded. However if Powell decides Bourne is worth doing I suspect he'll produce all three in complete editions, whatever labels are involved.

ABSENCE OF MALICE....another threesome like:

FUZZ
HALLS OF ANGER
TELL THEM WILLIE BOY WAS HERE....

I still say the Varese logo looks like a Peacock eating something off the ground.

To me I always thought it was a sand art version of an elk, reminiscent of Anasazi or Fremont petroglyphs found throughout the American Southwest.

Horner's "Volunteers"
and Horner's "Volunteers" Expanded Edition

That's gonna blow some minds, because do you get 'em both or not?
