Well Bad Girls arrived today. I gave it a spin. Three comments: 1. The music - excellent Jerry, obviously. The music has been around for 18 years so the writing isn't really in question, the themes are still striking, the action still thrilling. I have to say that the new tracks expand on what's there quite nicely, but they don't really add anything new. The original album was a hard act to follow I guess. It was a sensational listen, solid representational tracks, well paced and sequenced. But this expanded edition is still a great listen! 2. The sound - very impressed. Richer and more dynamic than the original album, which itself didn't sound too shabby. The whole thing sounds bigger than it ever has before. Why didn't First Knight sound like this?! 3. The packaging - OMG it's even worse "in the flesh" - the whole thing looks horrible, the front, the back, the sides, the tray photo, the fonts, the colour scheme, it's just terrible, tasteless, awful. It does nothing to sell or celebrate this wonderful score. And please, who the hell puts titles in upper case and names in lower case: "MUSIC COMPOSED AND CONDUCED BY Jerry Goldsmith" indeed. OMG it's shamelessless and embarassingly bad, bootleg bad. Please LLL don't give this "David C. Fein" any more work. He's bringing your product down. You can do better. In fact re-package this and I'll buy it again! Music **** Sound quality **** Packaging zero

I am thrilled to finally have this in my collection (I missed out on the original release). Goldsmith at his catchiest. Highly recommended -- thank you LA LA!

As Spymaster says, the original release was pretty good, and this release builds on that. I thought the booklet was excellent - fullsome and informative, as were the notes (there was next to nothing in the Milan release of the CD). To be honest the design didn't really bother me. Never been that much of a Goldsmith listener, but I do tend to love his Westerns, and Bad Girls was a good one. Compliments to all at La La Land for this release. Thank you.

Some may not agree, but I think Jerry Goldsmith's "BAD GIRLS" is brilliant. Essentially a one beauteous theme score it is nonetheless a gorgeous listening experience. It is one of the few scores that makes me feel f___kin great after listening to it, what more could one ask? Agreed, with the tiny caveat that I merely consider it to be freaking great.

I don't think I ever would re-buy a CD for different cover art (and I don't have a "problem" with the current cover art either), but regardless: BAD GIRLS is still available from LaLaLand, so I see not why anyone would re-release this any time soon? http://www.lalalandrecords.com/Site/BadGirls.html
