Well, now I'll have all of the original recordings and the re-recordings. Best of both worlds I say. I just got Remo Williams and Battle Beyond the Stars. Star Trek: TNG Vol. 1 is released tomorrow so I thought that I "knew" Batman Forever and the re-recording of Destroyer were the only things I wanted on the way. Damn you Intrada. I love you.
To those who said that 2011 wasn't turning out well, the second half of 2010 was faaaaaaaar better (in my opinion) than the first and it looks like that's how 2011 will be too. Let's remember this next year...
Well now. I guess Roger decided to spill the beans!
I already knew that Intrada was working on both Barbarian and Destroyer since early May, after I had a private conversation with Roger about the IMDb posting... primarily to tell him to brace himself for an onslaught of e-mails. Still, it's very exciting news, and I'm likely going to set aside at least $200 for both of these releases. Barbarian is among my all-time favorite scores, and I'll be buying up five or six copies for friends of mine who don't visit FSM.
Destroyer is not a score that I've yet heard, unfortunately. I lack any of the existing releases.
Still, I just WANT to hear that remastered and remixed Riders of Doom - as well as orchestral-only and choir-only versions, if those even exist as separate recordings.
Well the original movie comes on on Bluray tommorrow, and the new movie comes out in about two weeks, so wouldn't it be more cost effective to strike while the iron is hot? Anyone think we'll get one or both this month?
This news should not be a surprise to anyone who has read Roger's posts for the last year or so. He basically came out and said that Intrada was doing Conan a long time ago!
