Why would radio stations that received promo copies from Sony, with the sole purpose of promoting their product, be assholes for "leaking them?" Isn't that the purpose of a promo? You can't be serious? The point of a promo is to help promote the album... to help Sony sell their product. The radio station (or host) has no right to upload the album on some torrent or file sharing blog for the world to download for free. -Erik- I completely agree. Rare are the people that DL it and still buy a legitimate copy. I mean, what's the motivation? I received a notification from Amazon.ca that my copy has shipped as of Sat. and it should be waiting for me at home today or tomorrow. Yeay!!!!

Well, after listening to the leaked tracks and ripping them to my phone, I now want to buy the album to get superior tracks! Has anyone been able to find this in stores? Here in Canada, the major chain store, HMV, isn't bringing it into my town. Sad, when you can't even find a new Williams release on a major label in stores. Chris. Amazon.ca has them If you are in the Toronto area, L'Atallier Grigorian will most likely also have them.

Just got mine delivered from Amazon. It cost $9.99 shipped and I got an additional $3 off Amazon mp3 purchases from 2 different promotional offers associated with it. Bottom line it cost me just $6.99! Lucky!!! Oh well, I'll just keep on listening to older scores by Mr. Williams until then. Listened to Revenge/Sith, War of the Worlds and Munich just a few days ago. Anyway, looking forward....

I have friends in the radio industry who have been 'leaking' album promos for decades - here leaking meaning making sure that folks they know who might be interested heard the album by either a) playing it for them privately, or b) giving them the promo (usually there are restrictions on what - if anything - can be played on air). I would agree that uploading the promo is crossing the promo line (though maybe that's the way of 'promo' these days - to be clear, none of the folks I know in radio do this). As to people who download rarely buying a legit copy, I would STRONGLY disagree - just as with releases of wanted grail scores alays bring up the "there goes another boot" posts, I strongly believe it is the same with many downloads; many of these folks just might be downloading something they have already paid for and waiting for it to arrive in the mail, or intend to pay for when the disc comes to their local stores, but they want to listen to the music NOW. Sure, some just steal it, but I have some faith in the honesty of the general public, and I think many end up buying the music they really love. I apprecitate why those in the business hate the downloads, but one possible mitigating thought is that you actually get some sales from it: some download because they don't want to wait to listen the music but have bought it and it is in transit/intend to pay for it when it comes out; some just steal it; others sample and either decide to buy, delete, or steal it. Odds are it comes out as neutral - in the old days you made sales, today you likely gain as many sales as you lose (my sister worked for A&M Records in the 90's, and this was the reasoning of promo albums [even promos of sure - sellers]; they new that some would be copied and distributed [on cassette tape back then] but they would still make money by having more go out and buy the album - now the new digital age makes this promotional pattern less attractive, as the promos you sent out now mutiply exponentially accross the planet as opposed to a few copies per center).

My copy arrived yesterday. Today I'm on the road for work so I'll be able to enjoy the full wonderful quality of CD. Last 3 tracks are stunning.

I'm still stunned this album came out so far in advance when most score CDs now seem to lag a month -behind- the film. Already have the CD, but am holding off listening till I see the film.
