I remember being thrilled when I came across the LP in the mid-nineties. Played it to death, even in those days when I had mostly moved to CDs.
Too bad my turntable is broken or I'd crank it up right now. Oh wait, I transferred the LP to mp3 several years ago. I believe I'll crank up Lady Kong Gets Gassed right now.
Don't pass this one up - it's really a terrific score.
Not a big Scott fan. Always felt he lacked when it came to action scoring though he can write brilliant themes. Haven't listened to KKL in 15 years and was gonna pass... But then I listened to the "Lady Kong gets Gassed" sample and forgot how awesome that cue was. Ordered it within seconds after that.
Trust someone who thought John Barrowman would make a good James Bond to have a different definition of "awesome" from most people. Including, fortunately, Douglass Fake:
"Scott produced album in 1987, representing every major sequence of his score for terrific a record. CD did happen in Japan but only with intrusive ape roars. Happily, UMG vault masters of original U.S. album were available in perfect condition... without the grunts."
Just dawned on me this is the "album" presentation. Does this mean the recording sessions are not available? Anything substantial missing? Not a complaint, just curious. The album presentation is fantastic.

That's a good question. Been wanting this for so long, I'll take it and be happy.
