Ordered direct from Varese - can't wait to get it!
At this price we run the risk of the hated import charge ... VAT and the Royal Mail's handling charge. I'm very reluctant to buy anything from outside the EU which costs more than GBP15.00 and whilst this release - USD20.00 - should scrape under the GBP15.00 limit it may depend upon what the retailer writes on the customs' declaration. SAE usually set USD5.00 per CD ... I don't know what VS's policy is.
So it's not surprising our EU retailers do charge more than the US advertised prices.

Perhaps DrivingMissDaisy would be able to tell us. I know that when SAE/Intrada/LLL have shipped parcels to me in the UK that they usually write a small dollar amount per CD on the custom declaration. So an order of 3 CDs would be anything from 3 to 9 dollars, thereby escaping the horrific '£15 and over' custom charge. Can you assist, DMD?
Samples are quite lovely. Goes on my "to buy" list. I wish other labels had samples this long. It really helps hearing the progression of a theme which you can't get in 30 or 60 second sound bytes.

Same for me! So pleased about this release. I love the short amount of score on the old album and am really looking forward to hearing the rest of it (I saw the film years ago but don't remember it now).

Wow, do you have some catching up to do! My all-time favourite film composer, I can't imagine my collection not including Barry's wondrous scores from FRANCES, CHAPLIN, and KING KONG!
