The first time I watched the finale I failed to watch the entire credit sequence. I should have. When I rewatched it there is a big plot twist at the end!!!!
The score for the first two epsiodes is on par with the music in Season One. Like Season One there are a lot of songs as well - but when the score does play it makes an impact.
My favorite piece so far was the scene in Season 2, which I've decided to call putting the 'Con' in Confidence. The sound creates a synthetic version of Patriotism. Just excellent.
Arrived. I am enjoying it but I wonder if I really need volume two. I am looking forward to someone who gets the v.2 reviewing it

To be honest Volume 1 is the better of the two. I have both, and Volume 2 is much darker, and the "Mr Robot Theme" which I really enjoy doesn't show up until the last track.

Thanks man! One reason I like this score so much is that it has a distinctive theme - a rarity in electronic scores for tv. bruce
Amazon in the U.S. has both of these albums for $8.99 on Amazon Prime, with free shipping. I ordered both; so far Volume 2 has arrived and I am waiting for the other. Very cool stuff for lovers of vintage 70s-early 80s electronic stuff. And the music sounds great apart from the images.
We recently finished watching the first two seasons of Mr. Robot.
There is a great sequence at the end of episode 10 season 2, scored with a simple, repetitive, hypnotic track that sounds like a cross between Kraftwerk and a more subdued Giorgio Moroder. The track plays on a loop for the final 10 minutes of the show. Over the course of this ten minutes, the onscreen action switches back and forth between three scenarios involving different characters, but the music stays the same and keeps playing throughout. It slowly crescendos and then goes back to where it started. (I assume it is a shorter piece that was looped.) Anyway, it was a very effective device that really created suspense and tension. Does anyone know the sequence I'm describing? I loved it.
Love all the music for this show. Some extremely dynamic electronic scoring. Does anyone know if Ismael had some strange change of mind on episode 3, season 2. This has loads of tracked music, though Glass works very well.
MR ROBOT VOL III * Friday June 9th on All Digital Music Services * Emmy winning composer Mac Quayle takes his score to the next level. We didn't think it was possible to improve on perfection, but we were wrong. Volume 3 is just so good, and such a great evolution from Volumes 1 & 2!
We'll be updating more news on cd and vinyl packaging designs by Art Director John Bergin that are truly awesome.
I loved the episode's score, during the stand off climax scene the score really reminded me of a portion of Tron Legacy's score. I can wait to get this one on CD.
