305% after 80 hours.

I wonder if Intrada et al should look very closely at Tele 80's crowdfunding model to see how it achieved such astonishing success in such a short space of time.

I'm still pinching myself to see if this is real.

Barring the song-title which isn't very-good the series & music was huge on afternoon UK tv - guessing that was world-wide appeal going by how fast this has delivered. I'm in for this i'll wait for the actual release which will now happen.

Could they just do a TV Theme collection. The themes of Shuki Levy.

As Tele 80 is a French label, Ryan and I think the series must have been big in France. I doubt most fans in the US have even heard of Tele 80!

314% this morning. New, translated update:

Hi to all of you,

Do you know how great you are?

What a joy to have you by our side to wear this incredible soundtrack! We still can't believe our eyes! We have crossed 300%, it's breathtaking and to say that the campaign has just started!

We are very happy to announce that we have exceeded the minimum orders for the collector's box! It will see the light of day!

And as good news never arrives alone, drum roll, we will add a large booklet of 16 pages !!! Nothing is too good for you :-)

The campaign still has its share of surprises! Continue to talk about it around you, share as much as possible and together we can raise mountains !!

Thank you and see you very soon,

Beautiful evening,

Maroin, Nordine and Team Télé80

Yes, the series was a big success in France and benefited from numerous re-runs. The title song was wildly popular back then (it made it to the top charts, I believe) and, for a lot of people, remains a favorite from their childhood. Interestingly, nobody remembers the failed (and quite ugly) toyline, which was the reason the animated series got made in the first place. And the series got cancelled before having some sort of conclusion.

In the US, you could probably rise that kind of interest from something like The Real Ghostbusters ?

That would require the co-operation of Sony and I don't see them being interested in releasing a CD of The Real Ghostbusters atm.

I think Tele 80 may become our best new hope for cartoon soundtracks.

I can only assume this bodes really well for possibly getting a M.A.S.K., Heathcliffe, Dennis the Menace, Captain N/Super Mario Bros/Zelda, X-Men or Real Ghostbusters album in the future! Or any of his other efforts to be quite honest, as all of his music was pretty darn great! To say this was a runaway success would be a complete understatement.

Not Shuki-related, but I'd love to see TMNT, GI Joe or Transformers get a kick-starter soundtrack box set. I think all 3 would instantly get backed by both fans of the music and fans of the cartoons themselves.

I have been asking - and they say they have more DiC plans but won't say what. My best guess for what's next is M.A.S.K. - the same group has done a few of these campaigns, and one was about DiC - and it focusses on a few shows including Ulysses 31 (which had the amazing release by Expert) - it also focusses on Mysterious Cities of Gold, Heathcliff, and a few more - no sign of RGB in there or Mario.

I'd kill for a Mario/Zelda release. Hell Super Mario 3 would be incredible too.

How about the Disney Afternoon series? Perhaps Pinky and the Brain? tiny toons? Another collection of just "themes?"

Disney have not exactly shown an interest in releasing anything from Disney Afternoon. Closest we got was DuckTales: Treasure Of The Lost Lamp.

After this announcement I have higher hopes for all the Levy DIC stuff!

It's a great day! ??

Hi to all of you,

There you go, the campaign ended at midnight! So many emotions and surprises ?? Thanks to your support, we have managed to reach 563%! We still can't believe it, it's just amazing!
All of this was possible, because you responded to support one of the best soundtracks from studio DIC and label Haim Saban and Shuki Levy.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your participation and your messages which allowed us to go further than what we had planned.
Now it's up to us! In a few days, you will receive a world preview of the detail of the track-list, then we will move on to the manufacturing and packaging stage. You will be the privileged witnesses of these stages. The parcels will be sent gradually between August 28 and September 4. We also want to reassure those who have made several orders, the rewards will be in the same package ??

In the meantime, if you wish to complete your Télé 80 collection or to please you, you can request the list of remaining titles at the email address: tele80 collection@gmail.com.
And for those who want to continue supporting our documentary on studio DIC. You can still do it here: https://fr.tipeee.com/les-series-de-notre-enfance . A 10-minute "extract" is in preparation!

Once again, we want to say thank you, thank you and thank you again! You are the best !
Have a nice day and see you soon for the future,

Maroin, Nordine & Télé80

That's the way to go with projects that would cost more or difficult to produce and maybe not appealing to a broader music score enthusiasts.
