Several of mine have been posted, but I will list three...plus two new ones:

THE TOWERING INFERNO
DRACULA
EMPIRE OF THE SUN

and...

SPACE CAMP
MONSIGNOR

Check places like YouTube for sampling, and make your own decisions. Good luck!

Oh, I'm definitely going to check the recommendations on YouTube. I've been thinking of Space Camp lately. I remember enjoying the score when I saw the movie as a kid, but it's been about twenty years. Here we go, YouTube!

Thanks again, everyone!

Okey, since you got something out of this, I can just list my favourite Williams scores -- noting which you already have, and so including five 'new' ones.

1. JURASSIC PARK -- you have this
2. RETURN OF THE JEDI
3. JANE EYRE -- you have this
4. HOOK -- you have this
5. A.I. -- you have this
6. ANGELA'S ASHES
7. E.T. - you have this
8. SCHINDLER'S LIST
9. FAR & AWAY
10. The INDIANA JONESes (esp. 3) -- you already have this
11. NOT WITH MY WIFE YOU DON'T

Or...if you're willing to try something wildly experimental: IMAGES.

This list is just right now; it will change tomorrow.

Considering what you like:

You can't go wrong with (the first) HARRY POTTER

Considering your favorite tracks, you should like ANGELA'S ASHES

FAR AND AWAY, it has a little bit of everything.

SCHINDLER'S LIST is a masterpiece, but you should see the movie first.

Then there's tons of stuff to discover (lucky you). If you like the 80s sound, THE FURY, JAWS or 1941.
For the most recent stuff, THE TERMINAL and TINTIN are a lot of fun.

I know this does not help but I only have the obvious John Williams in my collection. Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, E.T., etc. The more I thought about it John Williams is one that I never seem to expand my horizon with. Which brings another topic, did Star Wars type-cast John Williams?

I've already got Images and Return of the Jedi (and the six others Williams wrote), but you're right; they're very enjoyable. I know how you feel about preferences changing. My top five would certainly include Black Sunday if I were to write them today. It's the epitome of a great score.

SCHINDLER'S LIST is a masterpiece, but you should see the movie first.

Strangely enough, most of my sixth grade class watched Schindler's List. Our parents had to sign permission slips, but it happened. It was a very surreal experience. I'll have to watch it again, since I'm positive that 12 year-old me didn't appreciate the film as I would now.

Ah, so you have. Missed that. Well, let me replace the two open spots with THE EIGER SANCTION and EMPIRE OF THE SUN, then.

Really, it's VERY hard to go wrong with Williams, whatever decade you explore (even the rather dreary 2010s has at least ONE great score, i.e. WAR HORSE). It is, in fact, easier to list the scores that are NOT "all that".

Stanley and Iris is a delightful score with wonderful themes. I listen to it often.

Here's a number of my Williams faves (all pre-Spielberg):

1)"The Crash" pilot from LAND OF THE GIANTS
2)The Ghostbreaker
3)The Poseidon Adventure
4)"The Bronze Locust" from The Eleventh Hour on disc 1 of FSM's TV OMNIBUS
5)Michael Small's The Postman Always Rings Twice, which sounds to me like a John Williams score that Williams never wrote.

It carries dead people to the.cemetary.
Or, it's a gender neutral word for " his and hers".
