Did Hyman do anything else than arrange and conduct? I know he worked on Woody Allen films as arranger, but does he have any credits as film composer? Was it DOCTOR Frankenstein who co-wrote that, or the monster himself? By the way, I was listening to the Quinn Martin TV release, Vol. 1, and checked how many of those guys are still alive. To my surprise (if The Computer knows all), they all are, except Jerry Goldsmith and Nelson Riddle. Duane Tatro was 92 a week ago, and John Parker is 92 or 93. Most have also composed for the concert hall and a few are predominantly jazz composers. Unfortunately, I was unable to ascertain if any of the composers are still active. AGE 85: Jan Klusák (b.1934/Czechoslovakia) Miklós Kocsár (b. 1933/Hungary) John McLeod (b. 1934/UK) Scored only one film, "Another Time, Another Place" (1983). Herbert Chappell (b. 1934/UK) AGE 86: Ilkka Kuusisto (b. 1933/Finland) Henry Krtschil (b. 1932/East Germany) Bronius Kutavicius (b. 1932/Lithuania) Lucjan Kaszycki (b. 1932/Poland) AGE 87: Pavel Blatný (b. 1931/Czechoslovakia) Alexander Goehr (b. 1932/UK) German-Jewish refugee from Berlin. Came to the UK as a child with his father, composer/conductor Walter Goehr. AGE 88: Vytautas Barkauskas (b. 1931/Lithuania) AGE 89: Toni Stricker (b. 1930/Austria) Retired in 2015. Zdzislaw Szostak (b. 1930/Poland) Romuald Twardowski (b. 1930/Poland) AGE 90: Jaromír Dlouhý (b. 1929/Czechoslovakia) Luboš Sluka (b. 1928/Czechoslovakia) AGE 91: Jerzy Matuszkiewicz (b. 1928/Poland) Possibly the oldest surviving member of the 'old guard' of Polish film composers. AGE 93: Joseph Horovitz 93 (b. 1926/UK) Austrian-Jewish refugee from Vienna. Long a resident in the UK. Most famous for his "Rumpole of the Bailey" TV theme. You should be able to find some of the music from these composers on YouTube.
