Anyway, I am very excited for this release because this was my favorite score from 2000 and I have never grown tired of it. I can't wait to hear it in this new (old) format, and expanded to boot! Yes to all of this! "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." Would I like to have this on CD? Yes, of course. Am I happy that it's available in ANY form? Also yes. yes Id prefer a CD as although I kept my vinyl collection I had from the 80s/90s,some of my first LPs were movie soundtracks, I havent had a record player for years, but as MI2 is one of my favourite Zimmer scores, the pieces with Lisa Gerrard are up there with Gladiator, and has been crying out for an expanded release, so yeah Ill buy it and work out how to play it later.

When I think about, I think the big difference between sticking with CDs and/or digital versus being a vinyl collector boil down to "how do you like to listen to music?" CD and digital collectors might prefer the option to skip tracks or create streamlined playlists. Vinyl listeners enjoy throwing the record on and letting it play through, exercising our legs to flip the album or put on the 2nd disc. Music and the experience of listening to it is different for everyone. Hopefully LLL or Intrada will be able to release this as a compact disc for those collectors in the future. Clearly Hollywood Records went to the highest bidder and that sucks it wasn't our dear friends and compatriots at La La Land but the people at Mondo are just as reverent for classic scores. When I think about it, the big difference between CDs and/or digital versus LPs, is clean sounding music vs annoying background crackling. I might get it with older recordings, some might have grown up with the distinct LP sound, and like to revisit the good old days. But for a modern, digital recording, why destroy it with an old out-dated format which lowers the sound quality ? At least offer a digital format as well, maybe as a bonus when you purchase the LPs. Then you get the physical sale, and people who don't own a LP player, or like to hear the music as intended (i.e. without added background noise), can enjoy it as well.

No CD = no sale. You already said that, no need to repeat it
