I see that Varese are using Awesome Distro based in Leeds as distributors.
That explains their presence on my online banking account.

At risk of stirring up an old hornets nest, had this facility been available a few years back, I probably would have ordered the Spartacus box. Postage and customs really made that set prohibitively expensive for us in the UK.

This is a good thing that we now avoid the extra custom fees, but there might arise a barrier between EU and UK in 2021 thanks to prime minister Boris Johnson!

Well not exactly Boris Johnson, actually 17.4 million people who voted for it, but it's best we leave it there (with the truth of the matter)

Varese could move their operation to N Ireland. They didn't vote for it and will remain in the single market which would be of benefit to our European colleagues.

Goddammit... I almost applied for a job there. If I knew this was in the works I might've followed through.

Is this set-up linked to their Naxos distribution deal, or a whole new separate venture?

I also noticed the address as "Awsome Distro." Realised I've been in the building. Picked up some T-Shirts and Merch whilst on a tour last year. They're really good guys. Hopefully this means they'll be packing things nicely and us lot across the pond have a better chance of receiving Varese releases with cases intact! smile

Leeds.

Reminds me of the old days with Richard and Robert.

I put off ordering the deluxe edition of BACK TO THE FUTURE PART III these past years, due to one thing or another.
And now it's available to me in the UK, without the excess dollars, costly shipping and threat of customs charges.
Happy Days! smile

Last night I took the plunge and ordered a handful of titles...

Description Unit price Qty Amount

Family Plot
£8.98 GBP 1 £8.98 GBP
Almost An Angel: The Deluxe Edition
£16.98 GBP 1 £16.98 GBP
Running Man, The: The Deluxe Edition
£16.98 GBP 1 £16.98 GBP
seaQuest DSV: The Deluxe Edition
£19.98 GBP 1 £19.98 GBP

Subtotal £74.90 GBP
Postage and packaging £4.00 GBP
Total £78.90 GBP

This morning I got an email that it's on its way.... £4 postage... no customs.

Only glitch was that I thought I was also buying 21 Jumpstreet by Peter Bernstein but when I got the confirming email it wasn't there. Never mind that's the first choice on my next order.

Ordered The Running Man and SeaQuest on Saturday - they arrived this morning! That's pretty good going I would say. Thank you Varese!

I look forward to receiving Leviathan Deluxe Edition in the next batch :-)

How was the packaging?

Correction: Mine just got delivered! No idea what the previous delivery was, now. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Packaging is just a simple jiffy bag, but luckily mine is 100% intact (as I would expect if it's only come 20 minutes down the road...).

Still reeling from the novelty of ordering a Varese Club release and receiving it in five days.

Yes. On their email /order confirmation it says ' including the tax ' and total charge is £19.98+£2 ,£21.98.Now thinking about it I may have been the right amount but the receipt that they put in with the disc has the disc price plus p+p plus 3.33 listed as tax.Sk I'll have to see wait their reply is.
