Intrada have stocked all other previous Music Box releases in the past.
They're probably still in bed. I'm sure they will add it to their contents page by the end of the day, along with the new Delerue, Morricone and Bolling titles.
Order up to 8 CD's from them and watch the postage lower dramatically.
Also, customs is never an issue.

With so much repetition across the two presentations, why does it need to be two discs? Is it really just a way to squeeze the unreleased tracks in?

If you talk about this one:

it's only the main title from the expanded Silva version , repetead in this scène.

Kev, it still amazes me, and not in the good way, that from 8 billion plus humans on Earth, there are only a ridiculous 2000 figure of die-hard film music aficionados people to buy such a release....

2000, it's absolutely nothing.....It's not a figure, it's peanuts.
How is it just possible?.

Yes, I have pondered that before. Really somewhat sad. I mean, I perfectly understand that music tastes differ. Music taste is unique to every culture, and within that culture may vary greatly from individual to individual, and I understand that stuff like LEGEND, a (in the US) unused film score by a composer who has been dead for over a decade won't sell as many copies as a new Kanye West album, but it IS really somewhat disheartening that of 8 billion people, just a few thousand are really interested in such a release.

I played lots of film music to people who otherwise never bothered with it and they were often impressed at how interesting and varied film scores can be. So at least I tried to get out the word over the years.

Well, I am stunned that Morricone releases like the fabulous VERGOGNA SCHIFOSI are only 500 units and not selling out. Morricone is reverred like a God and yet you can't sell 500 copies of one of his very best scores, albeit a score from a film hardly anybody has ever seen.

There was once a time 500 copies from a minor composer would sell out in less than a day, never mind someone of the stature of Ennio Morricone.

What can we conclude?

On the other hand the demand for the most recent iteration of Star Trek II seems to have caught people by surprise.

Cheers

I beg to differ on that last point. I've been stung for customs a few times with my CDs from the US.

Not for a while though, to be fair.

Cheers

I don't often order CD media anymore but this was instant. Unreleased music from Legend = holy grail. I wonder where these elements came from and why there's still music missing?

I'm guessing Darkness Arises is the bass male chanting that gets tracked all throughout the DC. Playmates, from the samples, is the cue that was meant to play over the fight between the Goblins and the faeries and supposedly still fits fine in the movie. It was tracked over with Darkness Fails IIRC.

One thing not getting any talk, and maybe someone who knows more than me can figure this out, but it looks like The Unicorns is still incomplete? The Silva release omitted a brief opening bit and starts abruptly a few seconds in. The sample on the website wasn't illuminating (but I am also at work and was trying to be quiet and discreet, too)

No there's a cue Jerry recorded for the hall of columns while Oona spies on the dinner between Darkness and Lily. Its supposedly a slow riff on the Dress Waltz music and was inappropriately tracked with the main title. That there's an alternate of the Dress Waltz leaves me to wonder if that's it and was a segment of that.

This cue is on the boot** in not so good quality, but it is better than nothing. So a source for this exists out there...

I also forgot the other big bummer for me is that the film version of Reunited doesn't appear to be here. Terrific riff on the In My True Love's Eyes theme.

The ONLY difference I am aware of between the 72 minute soundtrack on Silva and the 1985 album originally released on Up-Art is the opening 15 seconds of "The Unicorns" which features a brief alternate orchestration. That's all I can hear that's different.

Just watched the new outstanding Arrow Blu-ray and was reminded how awesome this score really is.

Instant purchase.

At 2000 units I don’t expect this to be around long.

Any US-based sites carrying this?

I ordered mine from SAE.

Aside from LEGEND I've never heard of another Up-Art release and there's no copyright info on the disc itself.

Who were those people?

.

Excellent question. They were certainly not quite right, putting the track list on the CD and nowhere else, same as Hook.

I just ordered a copy through SAE (along with season 2 of The Orville).

UK buyers might want to try Chris’ Soundtrack Corner:

I thought Chris Soundtrack Corner is from Germany? Would that be an advantage over France from the UK?

I've always regretted passing on the Silva Screen CD. I won't repeat that mistake. Generous stretches of all-time greatness from Mr. Goldsmith.
