The songs she wrote for THE PYX are the score.
There is no other music as I recall.

Okay, I'll accept that - but it all comes down to this... does she do it for a living?

No. Disqualified.

To you maybe, not to me. Disqualified? This isn't a contest.
A simple question was asked. Who do you think is the sexiest
film composer? Since Karen Black composed a song score for
a film, that makes her a film composer. Maybe not for a living,
but she did do it at least once. By your reasoning
Leonard Bernstein wasn't a film composer either. Nor were
dozens of other composers who happened to score just one
or two films.

As I don't find any male composers sexy, Karen Black was the
only sexy female that I could think of.
The pics that someone else posted of that young blond
gal are nice, but I've never even heard of her.

However, if it will make you feel better, Debbie Wiseman
did a sexy pose/photo shoot for her album SOMETHING HERE.

If you're trying to make me reconsider with that argument, it's not going to work because that's what I do in fact believe - Elmer Bernstein did musicals but nobody considers him a theatre composer first and foremost, just as people call Clint Eastwood a director because he's been doing it for close to four decades but nobody calls Arnold Schwarzenegger a director just because he only did one TV movie and an episode of Tales From The Crypt). You've got your views, I've got mine.

You can always count on me to defend Barry.

I think in his 60s heyday, he was quite the gent.

Not my cup of tea, mind you.

Of the ladies, which is more up my street, to be honest I'm not especially struck by anyone. Maybe Anne Dudley?

Cheers

Another vote for JB. Unfortunately, there aren't too many female soundtrack composers...

Hard to find a good picture - but Lolita Ritmanis wasn't anything to shove out of bed either.

My fellow Norwegian film composer K. Dyrud is pretty damn hot (God, I hope she's not reading this): http://www.kristindyrud.com/ . She's also very talented.

Otherwise, I echo the picks above.

In terms of guys, I'm guessing Brian Tyler qualifies?

Heck, didn't know there was a norwegian girl writing Hollywood film music.

Pretty cool, eh?

And she's by far the cutest girl to write film music that I know about. Unfortunately (for me), she's married.

Something for the gentlemen...

Jessica De Rooij
German composer, Uwe Boll's current composer-du-jour

I'm with you Jon. I do wish more of her scores was available on CD.

Brian Tyler and I thought Goldsmith, Williams were nice looking. Leonard Bernstein as a young man was not bad but he became stone ugly. James Horner, Herrmann, Rosenman, Friedhofer, A. Newman, Waxman were hit with ugly sticks.

I would have said the ageless Claudio Simonetti or possibly Trevor Rabin (in the Yes days). But Nico Muhly...wow.

While not a composer, Lisbeth Scott gets my vote as a nice looking woman of scoring.

this a very worrying thread!

Given the bulk of composers are men, I feel unable to contribute objectively or constructively.

cough, see the bears game? Helluva game helluva game, could go all the way to the superbowl this year!!

That said, the dutch strumpet who is about to be run over looks like she has a tongue like an electric eel and likes the taste of a man's tonsils!

Just for fun,

be you male or female, how do you rate our maestros on a HOT scale?

I'm a male but you couldn't get any hotter than Burt Bacharach circa 1968-71.
