Actually, Intrada has something of a relationship with Universal. Like just about everybody who has posted in this thread, I not only have no interest in an LP or other format (only a CD), but I also have even less interest in paying all this extra money for this or any other title. If this is going to be their MO on future titles, I will be holding my breath each time they announce a new title, 'cause that means -- assuming Bruce is wrong -- they have legally tied up the rights to a title I would have normally bought if they had done this like every other label. I've ordered this because I love the score. Like others, I wish there was a CD only option but here's how I think of it: if this was a rare, deleted CD that came up on E-Bay for £40, I'd have bought it. However, given Bruce's revelation, I think these other labels who originally had TWISTED NERVE and MARNIE only to be kyboshed by rights issues—presumably labels more familiar to us, who would have released a CD only version at regular prices—might be a bit peeved. I feel sorry about that. Especially if they'd already spent money on preparing masters. We love our labels. We hate it when they get screwed by something like this. One can only assume that this intervention of Quentin Tarantino was to overcome the rights issues. Look, I'm not gonna kick Stylotone though. Okay, yeah, it's a bit crappy that you have no choice but to pay lots more than usual and purchase three formats when you only needed one. And, yeah, I really do feel sorry for the kyboshed labels. But, heck, they're new, they're enterprising, they're bringing out a great score and it looks perfectly legit. I think folks were a bit presumptuous to cast aspersions on their legitimacy. Do we think Norma Herrmann would really back something not properly permitted? Also, Roger says it's right above board and I assume he knows. And I am intrigued about the download being the full unedited recording sessions. I mean, musically, that will be a boring way of listening to the score but to listen through at least once and hear the aborted takes and hear all the studio talk as if you were visiting those sessions—that's gonna be interesting. Cheers

There's no need to bundle a lossless download with a physical thing. Throw it up on 7digital or HDTracks and I'll buy it.

I was thinking about releasing the film. I thought I'd release it on Blu-ray, but in order to buy it you have to purchase along with it: A VHS tape copy, a poster, and a download from a site where only certain countries can get it because of legal reasons. What do you all think?
