What to expect Monday in the suites:
It's up in the air at the moment except for two things: Another PW suite (the final Shores suite), and in CURIOSITY CORNER:
I was going through an old TV series and completing the composer credits. All the episodes on IMDb at the time had just one composer credited and I assumed since the series was short lived, that it wasn't likely another composer would be credited, though I couldn't rule out a one-off.
It was going fine until the last two episodes where … an actor who had ZERO composer credits on his IMDb page, shows up credited for the score to the final two episodes.
My fellow nerds know the name, you've watched him on television, but probably had no idea he had a blink and you miss it scoring career.

Final suite for Shores. One or two weeks until I get the first Immel suite finished. It's been a time-consuming nightmare, but it's a labor of love.

CURIOSITY CORNER:
In 1989 there was a short-lived spin off of "Spencer: For Hire", called "A Man Called Hawk". It starred Avery Brooks. You may know him as Commander "The Sisko" Sisko from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine".
Stanley Clarke was on some episodes, but I decided a week or two ago to complete the composer credits, just in case there was a composer change or a one-off.
Everything was going fine until the final two episodes, where suddenly … Avery Brooks is listed as the composer. Prior to this there had been no composer credits for him on IMDb.
What follows is a jazz/synth fusion effort.
While Brooks has fairly down pat an authentic jazz sound you might hear in a night club, it's kind of lacking strong hooks, cohesiveness, and is a little scatter brain. However, it's not bad. And I forget which episode, but he does this cue which is like a kind of weird night club jazz fugue kind of thing, which is worth hearing.
I think if he studied with some one like Lalo Schifrin, he could have a serious career in some jazz scoring for film and television. Sadly, there's barely a need for that these days.

What to expect from suites Tuesday:
One or two suites from "Harry O", a suite or two from a TV series I have yet to do a thread for (for Pete's sake), and over in CURIOSITY CORNER the final suite for "A Man Called Hawk" scored by Avery Brooks. Maybe a Morton Stevens suite as well.
In a few months I hope to have a super rare treat for Richard Shores fans...
New TV series thread starting Tuesday: "Daniel Boone". For the summer time, I think a western is in order. It's one of the final dozen hour-long long-running TV shows I have wanted to do.

What to expect from Monday's score suites:
One or two "Harry O" suites, a Morton Stevens suite, and two suites from an awful reprehensible movie. Maybe something else; can't say for certain.

I'd love to do "Baretta" suites, but there are multiple problems: loads are limited, many loads are slowed down, and they are in poor quality. If I just hold out, I'm hoping good quality loads will pop up (maybe even legally some place like Crackle).

Another "Harry O" suite. The second suite for Billy Goldenberg. There will be three suites for him that cover all episodes he did, for season one (I have yet to record audio for him for season two, otherwise audio is done for all other composers for the whole series). Maybe a suite for another composer on the show.
One or two pilot scores to TV series I have threads for.
Maybe a surprise.
Maybe that Jerry for CURIOSITY CORNER that I mentioned a month ago.
NOTE:
I had been planning on doing the 1973 series "The Magician", but there are zero episodes available. I even checked Crackle and the Archive.org.

This is from a failed pilot from 1952 set in World War II, wherein a group of soldiers have to hunt down and kill a NAZI dog.
Yeah, I guess it was hard for the producers to fathom why a pilot about people murdering a dog that we didn't even see kill one Jew, didn't take off. Go figure.

Another "Harry O" suite, an unreleased film score by Leonard Rosenman, a CURIOSITY CORNER entry, and right now because I'll be short one more day this week than usual, I have no idea if there will be a fourth suite. Hopefully another Morton Stevens suite for the fourth one.
