I just read that it comes to an end after season11 (but that'll be a 24 episode season). Well, sort of, there's a number of spin-offs, so fans won't really notice notice the difference too much.

And characters are moving between shows so a character can appear when needed. There are very few original cast members left anyway but I am looking forward to this season in all the shows.

I just checked Fox on my Virgin guide & 9pm on Monday 1st. is the first showing. I've set the recorder, but as you say, it hasn't been a "much watch" for a while now. My seasons 1-7 box set has all the good stuff.

I liked the episode before last, i.e. S10E17 (setting up some major confrontation between Maggie and Negan), but the last one -- the Darryl flashback episode -- did little for me. I hate flashbacks in general, and it felt static and boring. I turned to my iPhone more than once.

So you haven’t watch the first episode of the new season? I’m waiting for the helicopter people. If you remember last season Eugene and others went to the spot where the woman on the radio told him they would meet and got captured. I’m guessing the story is this Sunday’s episode.

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm up-to-date on the show. The first episode of season 10 -- the current season -- was way back in October 2019. We still haven't seen anything of what happens to Eugene and the helicopter people.

The show had to take a long break due to the pandemic, but we're still in season 10. We haven't turned to a new season yet.

A new episode premiered here in the US on AMC last Sunday with Maggie and her kid.

Yes, that was the episode prior to the latest one (which is a Daryll flashback episode).

Oh, for me the Flashback episode will be this Sunday. That’s disappointing. I don’t like flashbacks either and I don’t like when they make the episode around one character. Oh well.

Finally saw this. It was okay. There will be some future interesting story lines. Can't see how Maggie and Negan can ever reconcile.

Yes, I agree and I don’t see Maggie carrying the series either. I know with the helicopter people there may be a tie in with Rick’s character. They were suppose to make some TV movies around his character.

I agree, Chris. Also I wonder who the "Reapers" are that Maggie said destroyed their group. I think that will be a new group that will be introduced.

So according to Thor this is still pre-pandemic season 10. This Sunday is episode 18 with 20 shows a season. So season 11 begins three weeks from this Sunday?

A meandering episode that didn’t move the story forward. I’m guessing this was a previously written script from before the pandemic. Fear premieres April 11th. Usually one show begins when the other ends. We will have to see.

Filler.
I agree with Thor.
All back stories shud be burned at the stake.

Plus, I have already forgotten what happened during that time (did Daryl leave the group for such a long time?), so I found it confusing, in addition to plodding. These flashbacks could be called FLESHbacks, because they are obviously intended to flesh out the characters. But they have the opposite effect on me.
