But.... messi dribbles thru, fred backs off, jones turned inside out and lionel dances past 1 nil barca.
Ooops 2 0. Messi scuffed shot and de gea fluffs underneath him.
Only 20 mins gone ....
Lionel Messi has scored at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League for the first time since April 2013 vs PSG, ending a run of 12 games at this stage without a goal (50 shots in those games).
Ajax have been excellent, should have scored 3 or 4 by now. Just had a goal ruled out for offside as well. Making this Juve team look like a bunch of old men!
I think its clearly between cardiff and brighton - who play each other this Tuesday night! Thats a monster 6 pointer. If Cardiff win its game on - brighton win its bye bye cardiff.
Brighton 0 cardiff 2 final. So now cardiff only 2 points behind brighton. Brighton have game in hand but 4 tough games cardiff hav to play liv and united but also fulham n palace. Gonna be tight if cardiff get another win.
City should win too, but they aren't as convincing in the Champions League as they are in the Premier League. I wouldn't write Spurs off. If Son's in the mood. they could win it.
I don't think it will be as easy as we think for LFC, but we should be able to score, making it very hard for them. Remember, Spurs don't have to win tonight. Any draw sees them through and they were playing better previously without Kane (esp Son). Plus, if Totts bag an away goal, the pressure ramps up on Citeh.
Son IS in the mood. After Sterling scored early doors, Son equalised, which means they have an away goal. This ain't going to penalties. City need to score twice with no reply now...
