Where is edwzoomom? She hasn't posted since getting her second dose!confused

Hello henry. I stepped in when I read your question. I received my second dose of Moderna in April and felt fine except for a 101.8 temp for a few hours. The rest of the family will be fully vaxed by next Monday when my son gets his second dose and he will be headed back to work. Thanks for thinking of me henry. smile

I'm just glad you're ok, and I missed you around these parts!

I had my first shot of Biontech/Prizer a couple of weeks ago and had no side effects. Oh, except that I have this constant urge to switch from Apple to Windows and swear loyalty to our overlord Bill Gates.

The process of change already occurred before the shot.

The more people that get vaccinated the less likely the virus will mutate and become even deadlier. And, the vaccine will get us, pretty much, back to normal.

Unfortunately its likely we won't reach that point. Between the sizeable number of Americans who refuse to get vaccinated/wear masks and the major countries not allowing the third world countries produce their own vaccines, its likely the virus will mutate and hang around.

Tired of reading whining about minor reactions to the vaccine. My sister is dead of covid at just 59 and she whined less on her deathbed than many of the vaccinated wafflers I am now hearing moans from. Maybe they should be embarrassed by their pathetic "Oooh, my arm aches a bit" or "I have a slight headache" complaints. They should count themselves lucky and keep quiet. An ordinary flu shot can make an arm feel tender for a day or two. Big deal. GET VACCINATED!!!!

I am deeply sorry to hear about your sister passing away from Covid and offer my sincere condolences.

I don't think people who post "I have a slight headache" or "my arm aches a bit" do this to either discourage vaccination or to elevate that to the level of the pain some people face who get seriously ill by a Covid-19 infection or even die.

No deaths from Covid reported in the UK for yesterday, that's the first time since March 2020. Amazing, I mean I'm sure there were a few deaths, as these numbers are not exact, more of a guide, but the vaccine is working its magic.

I would like to extend my condolences as well. So sorry. frown And yes, people talking about minor side effects was intended to encourage others to get vaccinated. Again, so sorry for your lose.

Message to Basil - I remember you mentioning your sister's death from Covid in a previous post. I would like to offer my condolences, as others have done, for your tragic loss. Again, as others have said, I'm sure there's no intention in anyone's "personal anecdotes" comments to belittle the harsh reality which you and others here have had to face.

I don't know if this is in any way related to what you have suffered, Basil, but I noticed that you have been deleting many of your posts from many different threads on the board. I hope you find the spirit to keep posting. Let us know how you're doing, and here's to better times ahead.

Basil, I am so sorry for your loss. Getting vaccinated will be a fitting tribute in her honor.

Apparently four people died, but that's a hell of a difference from a thousand people a day in January. That seems like such a long time ago now.

I was walking through London's Soho on Saturday afternoon, & it was really buzzing, a lot of the roads were closed off & there was tables out & it was packed.

They're saying the reactions are minor and nothing to be afraid of. It isn't whining, it's pointing out the very minor issues, which are like a flu shot. They already got vaccinated, as should everyone.

Sorry to hear about your sister, that's a brutal situation for you to go through.
