I snuck in and watched Starship Troopers after paying to see another film in the theater.

You still paid too much.

Agreed, though some will say "I just didn't get it". wink And I can't remember what movie I actually paid to see.

"You just didn't get it."

A tactic--insulting someone's intelligence--used to shame others into agreeing with their own positive view of a lousy film.

Cogent arguments need not apply. big grin

I've never seen any of the post-Batman '89 sequels.

Bat guano, I would think.

Personal confession:

I cringe with sink-in-my-chair embarrassment whenever an American FSMer uses the phrase "I could care less."

Did Luke Skywalker say "I could care less" to Uncle Owen on Tatooine? Is that why you people say it? The Brit Star Wars fans don't say it so why must you?

I don't like other FSMers' threads...I like MY threads, and ONLY my threads.

I'll forever hold a grudge that Marv Wolfman wrote Crisis on Infinite Earths and that George Perez drew it.

I consider myself more evolved than the rest of you.

I've been exploring the world of Hammer Films this month and, in reading about the Quatermass series, I suddenly realized that all of these years when I've seen references to it elsewhere I've been reading that name as Quartermass. My mind is blown.

I consider MY self as more Omnipotent than all of you.

I consider MY self as more Omnipotent than all of you.

So many mainstream FSMers make it easy to do so, and I can see why you came to that (false) conclusion.

My main life goal is to be able to speak like Buddy Hackett. I think his voice along with my rugged handsomeness would be an awesome combo.

Good luck with that, He Who Probably Resembles Malick! Hackett was a genius; Hackett’s joke about the general and the carpool is among The Funniest Things I’ve Ever Heard.

I'll take Buddy H. over every dumb cluck these days who thinks he or she is a comedian.

One of the first threads I ever started was “Buddy Hackett, R.I.P”, so you’d better represent him to the best of your ability.

Oh, I shall!

So what do you think? Malick-y or not?
