Hey Graham, I only have TWO Gil Melle CD's in my collection!
A boot of Frankenstein The True Story (sounds pretty good though) and a CD-R of Borderline.
Will that do?

Oh, good start Kev. Very good start, especially seeing as most of his scores haven't been released. The next step, and a fundamental one, is that you've got to like 'em.

How are you doing with Basil's kitchen?

Is this all some in-joke that I'm not in on?

Not very inclusive is it. Particularly for new members like myself - almost like an exclusive club. Maybe you chaps should get a room - or even set up your own whatsapp group - it saves the rest of us having to read about you having fun without us. I suppose on the other hand we could just not read your members only threads. Yeh, maybe i will do that instead. Can you just put 'members only' on these threads though - i dont want to start to read what i think is something about film music only to then discover it becoming a 'love-in'.

I do like the Frankenstein score, but it's quite traditional and normal sounding.
I watched the series as a young'un in the 70s, so I have that connection too.
I played Borderline quite recently (and resurrected the thread about it on t'other side), but I can't remember what I said/thought about it.
I really like Basil Poledouris and used to laugh at Basil Fawlty and even dug Basil Brush as a kid, but as far as that one you mentioned...I haven't got a jar of glue.

Hi Solaris! I expressed those very same concerns more than once on this very thread! I'll go back and change the thread title.

ADDED A BIT LATER - Y'know Solaris, re-reading your post makes me think that you may actually be in on the joke after all. Using all my exact same complaints and all that.

Just pray there won't be a Bill Conti one in the future, henry, cos they won't invite you either.
Unless you go see Billy Big Duck.

Jeezus!! frown

Maybe this side of the board aint for you Solaris if you are expecting film music.
My suspicions were first aroused by the use of the heading Non filmscore discussion.

Looking forward to the next one wink

Well that’s odd because Roy didn’t suggest the meeting to us until 11.30...
