No razor on spanish holiday so i have suitably gone clint stubble after visit to almeria western town.

I see you more as the Eli Wallach down-and-out type, Bill. Didn't you say something along those lines yourself a while back, when we were all doing the experiment?

Yes. Much more wallach than eastwood.
Especially as small cabin bag has meant limited clothes all week - its more trampy down n out bandit than cool n stylish bounty killer who never breaks sweat.

More Juan than Sean, then.

My beard remains, more consistent than Paul Pogba, that’s for sure. Other beardies might vote for it in the beard of the year team, but not ironically.

On my first day on holiday, beardless me carved myself up real good like...so I simply stopped shaving six days ago.

Looks like the beard will be coming back (baby).

Even during the show's initial run, I thought those poker games were so awkwardly contrived to show the Next Gen crew's "effortlessly warm chemistry."

Dr. Crusher was such an awful character. She destroyed the energy in every scene in which she appeared. She was especially horrid in those scenes in which she and Counselor Troi engaged in "girl talk."

Crusher's anti-beard sentiment makes her all the worse.

Oh, AND she squeezed out Wesley.

FSM's more intellectual posters will find this article interesting*, particularly those from "Gloucestershire":

*Well, yes and no, or no and yes, so to speak. As it were...

Love the "Beard Generator". I'm sure I saw something similar in Viz, beside their advert for pubic topiary.

Love the "Beard Generator".

It's impossible not to! The very term brings to mind some Edwardian gentlemen using H.G. Wells-style technology in order to procure superior facial hair.

As for this latest regrowth project, I'd forgotten that there are numerous awkward stages one must endure when growing back one's beard.

At the moment, I'm at the "Wino Stage" (eight days).

Latter-period Jules Verne is my current bearded inspiration:

What a miracle it would be should I actually achieve this level of beardedness.

Shaved today. It's already hot and humid here in South Florida; not an environment conducive to my having a beard. I don't know how earlier, bearded me dealt with that weather for all those years.

Also, there are simply too many fellows out there ("hipsters", "redncks", "jocks") with Jules Verne-style beards, so I will instead emulate another of my 19th Century heroes, consulting detective Sherlock Holmes, whom I believe actually did exist. Holmes was always clean shaven because all he cared about was The Work.

Another thing about Victorian facial hair: most chaps sported sideburns, mustache, and a bit of chin tuft. It seemed that the elder gents were the ones who grew full beards.

Two huge indicators that goatees are coming back in style: I saw them all over New England and now even that tubby guy from SWINGERS has one in the new Spider-Man film.

Shaved yesterday, so two weeks of grey beard hair went away like a gullible TV viewer's love for that forgotten series, "Game of Scones."

I no longer "identify as" someone with facial hair, and prefer the oxygen-hoarding clean facedness that shaving regularly provides.
