De Palma has essentially disowned the film so I'm not holding out hope for the film, but I'm still looking forward to hearing what Donaggio delivers.

De Palma has essentially disowned the film so I'm not holding out hope for the film, but I'm still looking forward to hearing what Donaggio delivers. Actually, De Palma is happy with the film. It was the experience making it that was awful. From De Palma a la mod: - In the interview with Le Parisien's Catherine Balle, De Palma said that while the making of Domino was an awful experience, the film itself is good. "It was a horrible experience," De Palma said. "The film was underfunded, it was far behind, the producer did not stop lying to us and did not pay some of my crew. I don't know at all if this feature will be released." Yet when asked if he likes the movie, De Palma replies, "Yes, it is good." Susan Lehman then adds, "It's very good." - Link: http://www.angelfire.com/de/palma/blog/index.blog/1559485/domino-in-theaters-vod-may-31-via-saban-films/

Wow, that was a really, really shitty trailer. Just overwhelm the audience with noise, that'll hook 'em!

Yeah, I saw PASSION...unfortunately. I thought it was terrible. The music had some nice moments and was easily the best thing about the whole sorry affair.

Is that Megyn Kelly holding the white sheet? Sure looks like her. Nah, couldn't be. Rachel MacAdams in "The Megyn Kelly Story." Who would be the scorer though?

It's about time De Palma hooks up with Moroder again.

Passion....hmmm, I'll just say it's one that, like a few of my other genre heroes (Argento, Carpenter, Romero) where DePalma "lost his shit". Adam's should have been arrested for overacting. Rapace looks embarrassed throughout. Every 'once cool' cine trope felt forced. Even Pino sold out - score has BLATANT temp lifting from Magnolia/Schindler & Morricone's The Thing. Along with a tacky source cue. There may be more temp love, I've always been too aghast to revisit, just stick to the couple great cues. That's why we have soundtrack albums. Odd & sad DePalma...created this. And after the IMO brilliant Femme Fatale. I'm not shocked that JXL's greatest champion is defending this film. Too bad it wasnt Balfe'd, THAT would be perfect, eh? I saw this from a wounded place because I've loved DePalma & ESPECIALLY Pino's work since I was barely able to ride a bike. So there.
