Very-very first batch had problems with disc 4.
Those, who ordered directly from LLL definitely got replacement CD (I'm one of them).

If there is anyone here who did not get this set, I highly recommend doing so.

Is Batman ‘89 a noticeable upgrade over the first edition?

Yes. Perhaps not on par with the 40th anniversary Superman upgrade, but definitely close at CD resolution. Along with a couple bonus tracks that are now full length (they were truncated on the first edition).

I opened this thread shocked to see copies were still available hours later. I figured the Batman brand would mean a quick sellout of such a small quantity. I can't believe the set is from back in 2014 and I never got round to buying it. I'm grateful I was able to get a copy. Thanks LLL!

Got mine, great set. Though I didn't know there was something wrong with this set at one time? What was that and how would I check?

Well I have so much on back order I really can't afford to pick this up. I'll have to do without. I really only wanted Batman anyway and can't justify spending $50 dollars for just one score.

Well, I just noticed that I have the defect mentioned on disc 4, there are definitely digital glitches. What must I do to get a replacement disc? I ordered the CD from Intrada, so I guess they'd be my first go to contact.

Interesting. Much as I love Batman, I feel that Batman Returns is the better score. For Batman Returns, Elfman took everything great about his Batman score, improved it and wrote some fantastic new themes. Also, the expanded version of Batman Returns is a vast improvement over the OST. Definitely a fantastic set.

Glitches? Which tracks?

I could just never seem to justify the cost of this set for me, as I already own both LLL releases. I'd like to upgrade the Batman release, but, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe Batman Returns in this collection is identical to the standalone release?

Yes, they used the same master for Batman Returns as the standalone release.

Thanks for the heads up! Snagged a copy. Batman '89 was one of the first soundtracks I ever purchased. Never did get Batman Returns so it will be nice to add that to the library. I understand some issues make this unlikely, at least for now, but hopefully a deluxe combo release for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin will be released at some point.

But the improvement for the first film makes it worth it, I am happy to have purchased it d spite owning the other LLL releases. I can never have enough Batman I guess.

Just one track: : On CD 4, Track 1 ("Umbrella Source/The Children's Hour/War") . There are digital "glitches". You can hear them at about 1:29 and 6:20 and other places in that track. Easy to spot once you know where.
