As far as I see it, since mid-August Sugar/UMG have not even released any more complete.

They have! Frankenstein '80 by Daniele Patucchi was just released last week. Hopefully it means that some of the Piero Piccioni scores released on that other compilation CD will also see online releases. I would not mind a few others on that Paura compilation as well.

They have also released Horror (1963) by Carlo Franci and Il mostro di Venezia (1965) by Marcello Gigante. I think all their other online releases since mid August are not new, but previously released by Digitmovies or Quartet.

Personally I'm 100% happy with digital releases.

To just offer them as downloads without much of a marketing campaign makes no sense at all.

I assume it makes sense if any of the staff are passionate about that material, like specialist labels. I'd be happy to transfer, clean up those scores and upload them for free wink

Thaks for the info, slint.
I couldn´t find these on Quobuz. And Quobuz lists these Sugar/UMG/Decca releases sorted by date:
https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/label/decca-umo-classics-cam/download-streaming-albums/1283580

So why are they not listed there anymore?

They've started to list them with original recording dates:

https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/frankenstein-80-daniele-patucchi/frt1zy6t53vbb
https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/il-mostro-di-venezia-marcello-gigante-alessandro-nadin/ax6mget85gvqa
https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/horror-carlo-franci-gino-filippini-giuseppe-piccillo/r73wxmp9md92a

I agree with you, with no promotion and such complicated listing, I would be surprised if more than 10 people in the world have found these new releases.

However, I think that among genuine collectors you are rather an exception. smile
And as you have seen, GDM has stopped their digital downloads with such older more obscure Italian scores from the RCA catalogue already several months ago. Do you think they had stopped it if it had been a worthwhile enterprise for them in any way?

Ah ok, I see. That´s really totally crazy. Indeed, in this way almost nobody will find these digital releases anymore.
