If you want to hear something else killer, listen to the opening cue of this (no composer credited): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJvQ2AYoZ6Q I listened to the pre-credits opening two minutes, and I'd bet a pint of warm beer that it's a mix of Dave Grusin and Quincy Jones. But since the imdb credits neither, I'll bet only a half pint. Well, like I said: "no composer credited", so IMDb just reflects that. I can tell you that Tatro did a number of cues on episodes that reminded me of Grusin, so it wouldn't surprise me to find out it's by Tatro. And thanks once again, thx99! I guess one of these days I'm going to have to start a "The Kick-Ass Music of KPM" thread where people list examples. Feel free (Anybody reading this) to steal my thread title and go ahead if I won't move fast enough for ya).

Hello, Would anybody know this piece of music? It was used many times in commercials for film broadcasts on a certain TV channel in Chile during the noughties. I can guarantee it was a) composed before July 2001 and b) released on some soundtrack album, because obviously, whoever decided to use it on these commercials just selected it from whatever soundtrack albums they had at hand. The original audio (taken from a TV commercial broadcast on July 2001 -- with dialogue and narration on top): https://drive.google.com/file/d/10BdIl2qXOY2W8xFtXvH4It5pGetdF689/view A MIDI mockup I did for better listening (not 100% identical but it should suffice): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1r9ditazA0AQ3Fk-O_-e3Zv7ZDfaztTeO/view Thanks in advance This may be of no use at all, but I listened to the narration, and it's advertising "Kris Kristofferson en Estrella Solitaria", which would be LONE STAR. But I can't imagine a John Sayles film with music by Mason Daring sounding like that. Thanks for your help. That's correct, the commercial is advertising the 1996 film Lone Star. However, I know this unknown piece of music was used in tons of other commercials of this channel. For instance, I was just checking and it was also used in a commercial for 1997's Absolute Power. I know this music is not from that score. I think the music is probably from the nineties, or late eighties at most. But more likely the nineties. I remember this TV channel also used a piece of music from the film Face/Off, specifically the music that underscores the fight between Travolta and Cage at the end.

Can anybody identify the score in this failed pilot aired on "General Electric Theater" ("With Malice Toward One"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8svy9g3qLV4 Specifically, the score at the following times: 2:31, 6:53, 11:51, and 22:31 (this cue is my primary target; that yummy dramatic closing makes me want to hear more). No composer is credited. Stanley Wilson gets a music supervisor credit. ASCAP shows that title with a composer by the name of Muzzy Marcellino. BMI has nothing.

Can anybody identify the music used in what appears to be a failed presentation pilot that aired on "Chevron Theatre"? No composer credited. IMDb shows it to archival footage, so I suspect no original scoring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z93aquVFm-U The music: 0:00 in. 9:07 in. 11:10 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 16:48 in. 21:47 in. 25:00 in. I kind of assume that the film tis is edited from, is probably where the music is from.
