Go to the color Universal-International logo at 7:16. Anyone recognize this music? I'd like to know what film it's from. I'd like to hear the rest of the score.
Calling Golden/Silver Age cuspers! I don't know, but in 'Scope & color should narrow it. Cool piece, Friedhofer perhaps? Or too hyperactive for his style? -Sean
Edit: I thought, let's try a Wikipedia list of 50's & 60's Universal pictures! Nevermind, it's the phone book! Um, Salter's Bend of the River, I see that title bandied about often!
SIGN OF THE PAGAN (1954) Music by Salter and Skinner. I started looking at a list of Cinemascope films made by U-I. It was the first one on the list. The movie is on YouTube, but in a really poor copy.

Ha! That's what I did too. But I started in 1953. Then it occurred to me to just check the color films on the list, but it still would have taken me forever!
