So sorry to hear this news. Sending you love during what must be such a difficult year for you. And how wonderful that you're offering his CD's for sale. Doing that means the music, and the love your husband had for it, carries on.
I am sorry for your loss, with 3000 CD's your husband loved film music. I don't think someone here would buy the collection in bulk. You might try listing them on eBay. I am sure some of them are valuable. The problem is separating those if you don't know their value. It will be a time consuming process. Once again my condolences. Chris

There was a regular here called quiller007 who doesn't seem to have posted for a while now. I feel a bit awkward suggesting it, if it isn't him. With 4000 CDs he was probably a very active member.
This does make me consider what each of us leave behind- in books and music collections that sum up who we were, what we loved. Film music is such a niche area, I'm sure some valuable collections get discarded unwittingly.

Quiller007 would sign off as "Den". Deep condolences for your loss.

We often discuss how difficult it is to sell collections on the trading post here, and that's among our fellow film score obsessives. I can imagine just how tough it must be to move entire collections and learning how limited the interest is in this stuff.
Condolences to the OP on the loss of their spouse. There have been numerous FSMers with the handle "007" in it, and one mentioned previously, quiller007, used to sign his posts "Den."
First, my sincere condolences to you and the rest of your family during this incredibly difficult time.
I believe that the board member also posted in the Intrada forum.
If Thor is reading this, I hope that he may have time to update the in memoriam page with this sad news.
We don't know if the member we're discussing is quiller007 yet. He's the only one that leaps to mind, but as Jim says, there are probably others with 007 in their username. There are four on the Intrada forum (I can see a member list, which isn't possible on FSM): quiller007, Ivan-007, kevinmoviebuff007 and rmd007. There's another but he logged in yesterday.
So sorry to hear about your loss. My sincere condolences. Alas, I have neither the space nor the money to buy any of your late husband's CDs, but I'm sure there are some who do.
As others have said, I won't add any names to the 'dearly departed' thread untill we know for sure who the deceased is.

You can remove Ivan-007 from Intrada's list - I'm ok
I'm so sorry for your loss. I think by far would be to sell the whole collection to a retailer like Intrada, who would sell it for you. I'm guessing if you sent them a list, they would tell you which CDs are not worth enough to warrant shipping to them in San Francisco.
