I've attended the previous editions of this film music festival, catching composers like John Powell, David Shire, Victor Reyes, Trevor Jones, Chris Beck and a wonderful tribute concert for Michael Kamen. Any ideas who will be attending/performing this summer in sunny Spain?

Any word yet on the composers who might be attending/performing at this years event? Cheers.

The old Ubeda ones were great, with lots of interactions between fans, organisers and composers, on a very casual basis. There's not as much (to my knowledge) at these MOSMA ones, although I'm with the missus on a proper holiday, usually staying in a resort some stops away on the train, during which I'll scoot off to catch a concert or two (Her Royal Highness will even deign to attend the closing night one WITH ME!!..under promise of wine and other goodies). I'm sure with your networking skills - you made me dizzy just watching you at the Horner/Vienna concert, with your busy bodying around - you'd snag a few interviews and such as like.

No, that wasn't me, Cal.. I never bag front row seats. I've usually been sat in those private boxes at the side of the theatre and I was bang in the middle for the John Powell one where the 'hubris/concert piece' was performed. Yeah, they are leaving the guests' names a bit late this year, but we've already booked our flights and accommodation for the time around the festival. So, I'm in town even if it's Balfe, Jablonsky and The Junk!!

Welcome to the 4th annual Kev McGann whitter-thon, wherein I will post to myself about this year's film music concerts, and Graham Watt will sometimes join in to appreciate my thoughts or educate me about those crazy Spanish customs. Previously, I've attended a fantastic Michael Kamen tribute concert (year one), David Shire and Trevor Jones (year two), John Powell and Christophe Beck (year three) and Robert Folk and John Debney this year.

Welcome to the 4th annual Kev McGann whitter-thon, wherein I will post to myself about this year's film music concerts, and Graham Watt will sometimes join in to appreciate my thoughts or educate me about those crazy Spanish customs. Previously, I've attended a fantastic Michael Kamen tribute concert (year one), David Shire and Trevor Jones (year two), John Powell and Christophe Beck (year three) and Robert Folk and John Denney this year. Looking forward to your reportajes, Kev. I would love to be there but it's really too far away (London is closer - can we go there next time?) and I'm literally up to my eyes in work. And I mean that literally. Malaga can be quite "hot" in the summer. Many people believe that drinking beer helps. It doesn't. It dehydrates you even more. So you must have at least twenty cañas to quench the never-ending thirst. And although it's hard to believe, the "sun" is the same star that (sometimes) shines on Leeds-on-the-Mersey, but it's of a more nuclear quality, and thus more lethal. The pigskin of the North is not accustomed to those nuclear blasts. It goes red and makes everybody look like buffoons. My mummy always told me to use protection when I was having fun on holiday in Blackpool, so I'm passing on her advice to you. If you have anything vaguely related to film music to report, put it here. But it really is becoming a tiresome recurring topic here, so tell us about the beer, the weather and the non-nonsense bobbies (again).

Thanks for the well wishes Graham and Caliburn I'll tell you what I do love about my Spanish holidays. The Bum Baths. Have you got a bum bath Graham? I think every home should have one. Do you hear that, Boris Johnson.
