Listened to the samples, and sigh... there's simply nothing like 1960s Francis Lai. Great release, thank you Quartet!

This release is for me. I especially love that title tune. The song from the title tune is not on the soundtrack release, but I love Matt Monro's rendition of One Day Soon.

If you want to hear Matt Monro's rendition of One Day Soon go to YouTube and type in One Day Soon Matt Monro.

Nobody sings GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME better than Tom Jones. It's my favorite Tom Jones. However, I do prefer Matt Monro singing ONE DAY SOON. Check it out free on YouTube.

It's arrived (well it probably came last week, I've been away). It's great to have this album on CD at long last. Thank you Quartet.

I was thinking about a few other soundtrack albums I'd love from the UMG vaults:

Hello-Goodbye (1970) - Francis Lai
Where's Jack (1969) - Elmer Bernstein (in 18th Century London!)
Nevada Smith (1966) - Alfred Newman
Smashing Time (1967) - John Addison (lyrics by George Melly).
