I just picked up a print of WAYNE & SHUSTER TAKE AN AFFECTIONATE LOOK AT THE MONSTERS. The score for the episode was by Johnny Williams, which included scoring for sequences from DRACULA (1931). Of course, the music bore no relation to Williams' score for the 1979 feature but it was interesting to hear this early bit of accompaniment by JW.

Was it scoring for comical effect?
No, they paid respectful tribute to the Monsters and the scoring was appropriate (of course, perfunctory to today's sensibilities but this was the early 60's - but the music ebbed when the dialogue came in).
And Williams who's claimed he never saw a single DRACULA iteration untill he saw the Badham film. Cheeky bastard!
That's a great find, Ray, I'm envious. I've only ever been able to find one WAYNE & SHUSTER TAKE AN AFFECTIONATE LOOK AT episode, and that's the one about W.C. Fields. And in that -- if memory serves -- there's only Williams' original theme, while the score proper is by someone else.
I'm not asking whether it can be found, LC, and in what form. That I can find out myself. I really don't need your advice.
I'm asking what Ray has, since he said "print". It might be a bit more useful to let the person named in the request be allowed to answer the question before horning in.

True, a film print would be more like Ray, if I'm allowed to respond to your point conversationally. Btw, others might be interested in finding a copy in whatever format, so my comment isn't irrelevant to the thread. For some reason, some people refuse to use search engines.

This is a 16mm print. I have two Wayne & Shuster "Affectionates" on film - "The Monsters" and "Abbott and Costello".
A late friend of mine in the NY Sons of the Desert used to say "I picked up a print of..." And he was talking about a VHS tape.

Oooh. Let me know if you ever digitize them. I'd be interested to see them.
(also, correction to myself from earlier: The W.C. Fields episode I have does indeed have a JW score. But the Marx bros. episode that was also included in the same showreel I got, did NOT).
You can watch this on dailymotion. While Williams didn't re-score all the clips, he might have done part of "Bride of Frankenstein." This is a rip of the UK dvd (25 fps). https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7kqdvm
