I am glad people liked this set! I initiated the project when I was doing research on various titles at Paramount for different labels, and made notes about various classic western scores that seemed interesting. I gathered up materials and made suggestions, but really left it to Frank DeWald and John Takis to program and produce, with Chris Malone doing a ton of audio restoration. I thought it would be neat to have a collection that gathered up so many famous and not-so-famous names, with some key titles that people would want, and some others that would never be released unless packaged in a collection like this. ("Will Penny" is my favorite.) La-La Land really stepped up to pay for it, and I'm glad it did well for them. (I'm also super proud of the Paramount/noir collection that Intrada released!)

I also made some notes for a war films collection and started to gather materials. If anybody is interested, perhaps that one could be done for La-La Land as well...what Paramount war titles would you like to see? (Sadly, not everything survives.)

We are totally up for another collection like this. It proved to be the most economical way to release these wonderful scores.

And lest someone worry that the hopeful signs in this thread are too old, MV posted this just one month ago (January 16, 2022) in the LLL/MV Questions thread:
"Is there any plan for another western scores box set like was NEVADA SMITH – THE PARAMOUNT WESTERNS COLLECTION (LLLCD1502).
It would be great. I think it was popular title and is already out of print.
Thank you!
MD

We do have something else up our sleeves
MV"

So... let's reignite the speculation! Will we be getting another Paramount Westerns set? A westerns set from another studio LLL works with, like Universal? Or perhaps Paramount will stay the same but the genre will change to "war" or something else?

All I know is I can't wait to find out what the "something else" is... this box set was my favorite release of 2019!

Assuming MV is referring to another Paramount Westerns box set (as opposed to say "Universal Westerns" or "Paramount War Films"), I'm curious: what scores are on people's want lists?

Yavar, I don't have an answer to your question, but I wanted to note that your resurrection of this thread finally convinced me to pick up this set. Thanks!

You're welcome! But where did you find a copy? I thought it was sold out everywhere, long ago!

On Discogs, and for a price just about $10 more than when it was released.

I consider myself lucky, though I don't actually have it in hand yet (darned USPS!).
