In the 1965 shocker TWO ON A GUILLOTINE, Connie Stevens is exploring a haunted house. She turns on a tape recorder and hears part of a ghostly song, with the singer (who sounds a lot like Connie) accompanied only by a harp.
A trivia post on the IMDB states that the film's music is based on an Irene Dunne vocal from the 1931 film CONSOLATION MARRIAGE. Max Steiner worked on both films, so perhaps he resurrected the earlier song for the GUILLOTINE film.
Can anyone here add any info about this? I've never seen CONSOLATION MARRIAGE.
