No one's ever heard this album before? Where does it rate among the other Gerhardt/NPO albums?

From this album, I’ve only heard the Casablanca suite on DirectTV’s Movie Scores channel and the suites from The Two Mrs. Carrolls and To Have and Have Not on the expanded Waxman album (which brings me to this question, why is Peyton Place on this album rather than the Waxman album where it belongs?) and both of them are very good performances.

Bob DiMucci: Judge for yourself. The tempo on the main title is too fast for my taste, but that won't prevent me from buying it. The "trek" cues are dead-on, and the main title might just be more intelligible in quadraphonic sound.

Two more Charles Gerhardt SACDs coming from Dutton Vocallion this month! From their front page: In our February 2022 release, original cast recordings of musicals from Broadway’s golden age nestle alongside the music of Ives, Wagner, Holst, and Britten, in timeless performances conducted by Eugene Ormandy, Pierre Boulez, and Leonard Bernstein. Additionally, flute virtuoso James Galway is making his first appearance on Dutton Epoch, with a pair of superb albums featuring the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Charles Gerhardt. Recorded during the quadraphonic era of the 1970s, these classic albums are presented here in the stereo/multi-channel SACD format. Note: these Hybrid SACDs can be played on any standard CD player.
