We are in the process of watching Game of Thrones for a second time. It's what you do when you are essentially homebound I guess.
I think it's an excellent score and and varies enough to distinguish one season from the other. After listening to each seasons' score, I have to say that season 6 is at the top of the list for me. I felt season 6 was the strongest of the GOT series overall and the score just enhances the viewing so much more.
LOL, that's exactly what sprung to my mind when I read the question. Though I've got to say that musically season 8 has also got a lot to offer - just can't get enough of the Night King it seems. ;-)
Season 6 for me. It was such an epic and hit so many emotional moments just right for me. I was also lucky enough to see the live concert they did for GOT and it was amazing.

not just for you. And the life concert was my best 2 hours in 2018. And luckily for us nobody told Ramin that the show ended with S6 because his last GoT album is my second favorite.
jokes aside I rewatched the whole thing in 30 days last summer and I had fun with all 8 seasons.

Same! The live experience was absolutely incredible.. we had tickets to another show closer to the end of the series, but it got bumped (double-booked venue) and was never rescheduled.. at this point, it never will again - thankful to have seen it once!
Another vote for Season 6 for me.. "Needle" and "Hold The Door" are so powerful and memorable.
Season 8 was pretty outstanding scoring, even if not everyone loved the episodes. I thought it was a rushed, certainly flawed, but satisfying ending. The score definitely saved a lot of it.
