By the way, Thor, two questions. First, what IS that award? Looks like the “Best Erik Thorstvedt Mask” prize. It's a Camille Award.

By the way, Thor, two questions. First, what IS that award? Looks like the “Best Erik Thorstvedt Mask” prize. Second, and more important, do you know the girl in the blue over your shoulder? Looks like she’s thinking “There’s Thor! Maybe we can hook up again if I can shake off my mum...” Ha, ha! I wish. As Nicolai says, it's the Camille award -- a European film music award. The award is named after, and the statue face molded after, Camille Saint-Saens. Just to make it clear -- I did NOT win the award, I was just holding it for a composer friend who did. I was in the Norwegian Camille jury, and this was a ceremony in Pula, Croatia. Morricone won Camille's lifetime award the year after, if memory serves.

Yes, with a 20m euro house, you might expect he have got a second hand one. But then who needs a piano when the whole orchestra - edda's voice plus whistling - is in your genius head lol

What is the difference between those 2 No name, i dont know mate You will need someone who has one or both. Dont despair about getting few replies on here, especially on morricone. It is foremostly a u s centric forum. Post about williams or goldsmith and you would have 50 replies already. Ennio is greatly underappreciated around here. Its always been that way. There are some very knowledgeable morriconians on here, but most post every few days/weekly rather than daily.

No Name…do not despair. Those of us who have loved Morricone over the years remain passionate. It’s just been a big shock realizing he is no longer with us…but the music lives on.

I don't have a fraction of the collections of folks on here, and don't always get the chance to post as often in recent months, but I love Morricone. Always find the discussion interesting even though I have stuck mainly to his westerns. And Goldsmith ain't even fit to lick Ennio's boots! Only joking Goldsmithians...lol. Seriously though No Name there's nothing wrong with being the lone voice occasionally if you're passionate enough. And you are aren't ya? Be one of the Morricone champions! I'm a supporter.
