QUANTUM LEAP---NBC pilot underway for a sequel to its tv series that ran from 1989-1993. Scott Bakula is reportedly in talks to return in an undisclosed capacity. Don Bellasario, the original show's creator, is the new show's executive producer. The pilot's synopsis is, “It’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.”
JUSTIFIED: CITY PRIMEVAL---Timothy Olyphant is returning for the FX JUSTIFIED miniseries sequel set eight years later with Marshal Raylan Givens, now in Miami, where he is sent to Detroit where crosses paths with sociopath Clement Mansell "The Oklahoma Wildman". The sequel is based on the novel CITY PRIMEVAL: HIGH NOON IN DETROIT.
REAL STEEL---Disney+ tv series underway based on the 2011 robot boxer movie starring Hugh Jackman.
THE SANTA CLAUS---Tim Allen is returning for the Disney+ miniseries sequel to THE SANTA CLAUSE franchise. The synopsis says, "Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole."
AFGHANISTAN---untitled Guy Ritchie movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a US Soldier who returns to rescue the Afghani interpreter who saved his life after the US government broke its promise to evacuate the interpreter and his family out of Afghanistan.
JUSTICE U---David Ramsey will return as Diggle in this CW ARROW spinoff series.
GENTRIFIED---Netflix cancelled the series.
TRIVIA---the Los Angeles house featured in NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET recently sold for $2.98 million. The three bedroom Dutch Colonial three bedroom's selling price is 98% more expensive than surrounding properties.

That's great news about "Quantum Leap". And boy oh boy, Mike Post and Velton Ray Bunch are alive and still scoring. I hope whomever directs this goes with the original composers and not some newbie. And if so help them if they even say "Jeff Russo"...
