Neat. Just don't film it and put it on YouTube.

(there used to be a lady with a channel called Pam An. All she did was film eagles and foxes at her house in Alaska when she got home -- 100% original material, no music, no anything but what she filmed. They deleted her channel, so … be careful)

About a decade ago I created a YouTube account. I put up a video of my fireplace in my house. Really didn't do anything with the channel after that. Sometime later I decided to sign back in and put something else up and I got a message my account was deleted for breaking TOS.

Gee Henry, it would be a dream to have a view like that. I love nature. I spend a lot of time gardening. I have a birdbath right outside my kitchen window so I can watch the birds while I wash dishes.

Yeah I love nature too, I also had a Pileated Woodpecker in the backyard the other day which was pretty cool. Last Summer when I was walking my dog a fox, which stayed about 60 feet behind us, followed us the whole time.

Ha, that fox story is pretty funny. Was he making sure you stay out of his territory or was he looking to be adopted? wink

I live in a subdivision so my wildlife consist mostly of birds and squirrels and a few pesky snakes. But I do have a big variety of birds. Bluejays, Cardinals, Finches, among others. Nothing to exotic but still beautiful.

My dog Celeste is a 10 pound Chihuahua so the fox was probably hungry.winkYeah they are beautiful, I had a Cardinal fly into my window and died last Summer, it breaks my heart when that happens.

Hey henry, the cover article of the current issue of The Saturday Evening Post should catch your eagle eye. It caught mine while strolling down the periodicals aisle at the library because of my own bald eagle encounter recently per another thread.

This last Saturday morning I got up and noticed half of my tree in the front yard was laying on the ground. We had such heavy snow over the night that the tree split in half! It was blocking our way out of the driveway so I cut the branches I could to get out. We called the professionals to get the rest of the tree I couldn't get myself, but they're very busy. I've had some entertainment in my yard this last week, first Bald Eagles and then the tree.

Wow, that's amazing. BTW did you take pics of the eagles or the snow? If so please post them.

Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the eagles, they weren't in my yard long enough, but I'll try and post pictures of the tree. But on the bright side I think I created a new maneuver trying to get my car around the tree!

So there I was this morning on the usual bike ride (nothing like blowing off my own thread) and while heading back up the hill looked up and soaring, positively soaring way up there in the wild blue yonder was the guy with the white head and wingspan that stretched to eternity. I stopped and watched for a good minute or more as he whipped around the sky with what I'm sure were a pair of mockingbirds dive-bombing his majestic wings in the usual territorial claim. But he just kept swerving and circling undeterred.

I am so glad this bald eagle--if it's the same one as before--may be a frequent passerby.

PS
looks like even he knows it's a sin to kill a mockingbird heh heh
