DOCTOR WHO---trailer released for Season 14.

HAPPY GILMORE 2---co-star Christopher McDonald said a sequel to the 1996 comedy golf movie is underway, “I saw Adam [Sandler] about two weeks ago, and he says to me, ‘McDonald, you’re gonna love this.’ I said, ‘What?’ He says, ’How ‘bout that,’ [and] he shows me the first draft of HAPPY GILMORE 2. Maybe you should cut that out [of this audio] because I don’t wanna be a liar, but he did show me that, and I thought, ‘Well, that would be awesome.’ So, it’s in the works. Fans demand it, dammit.”

THE NAKED GUN---Liam Neeson commented on playing Frank Drebin, Jr. in the reboot movie that does involve the original creators of David and Jerry Zucker and Pat Proft, “Well, obviously, the script has got to be funny and have a kind of a theme, a kind of a story, albeit quite loose, going through the script rather than just a series of gags, which can get boring very, very quickly. Yes, I’m honored to be offered the part of Frank Drebin, and a little bit nervous about it because I’ve done a couple of skits before that were just very short TV things, but this would be, I don’t know, 95, 100 minutes of a film. They’re still casting it so hopefully my other cast members will be funny and sexy so that I could just be dead absolutely straight. There has to be lots of visual gags going on, too.”

THE BROTHERS GRIMSBY---Rebel Wilson, in her new book PITCH PERFECT, devoted an entire chapter to her THE BROTHERS GRIMSBY co-star Sacha Baron Cohen, who she claims bullied her into a nude scene and then replaced her with a body double, "I will not be bullied or silenced with high priced lawyer or PR crisis managers. The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen."
Cohen's representative denied Wilson's allegation, "While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby."

YELLOWSTONE---a rumor claims Kevin Costner want to return for a cameo in Season 5, Part 2 even though the scripts have been finished.

MARVEL'S ZOMBIES---Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Streaming, Television and Animation, commented on the animated zombie tv series, “In terms of more mature animation, yeah, we’re making a MARVEL ZOMBIES show right now that is pretty intense. That’s for sure a TV-MA show. And again, it’s trying to honor the comics. And what was so great about the comics was it’s not pulling its punches. That’s certainly what we’re going for on that project also.”

HEART OF THE BEAST---David Ayer will direct the movie about an ex-SEAL and his combat dog who try to return to civilization after an accident in the Alaskan wilderness.

TRIVIA---in the original Green Giant vegetable tv commercials, the voices of two of the main characters were provided by actors who appeared in classic sci fi movies.
Little Green Sprout's voice was Ike Eisenmann, best known for appearing in STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN as doomed Enterprise engineering cadet Peter Preston, the nephew of Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott. Eisenmann also starred in two Walt Disney sci fi movies, ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN and RETURN FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN.
The farmer's voice was veteran voice and character actor Paul Frees, who appeared in THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD and THE WAR OF THE WORLDS.

I genuinely had no idea these two were one and the same!

As someone who grew up on Disney movies I recognized right away who he was.

I'm going to take a hard pass on Liam Neeson in The Naked Gun. Just wrong casting for starters (not the time or place to go into my other reason).

It’s not just you. They continue to make these movies yet I hear zero buzz on them.

I’m a huge huge fan of the original PotA movies and have to admit that I thought Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a terrific attempt at a reboot (don’t even get me started with the Tim Burton movie which I despise with a passion usually reserved for Christopher Nolan movies).

But since then the series has gone downhill, to the extent that I was bored senseless in War for the Planet of the Apes.

I’ll go see Kingdom for sure but i’m struggling to get any enthusiasm for it.

Looking at the trailer for Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, it looks like almost all CGI apes & hardly any humans, which makes me disinterested. I enjoyed the other three, but don't have any enthusiasm to see them again.

...I'd have thought the next chapter in the reboot should be astronauts from the past landing, back to where we were with the first film.

I'm kind of the opposite in that I really liked Rise, thought Dawn was excellent and War was amazing. However, I do agree, that was the best place to stop. Laying the pipe for the franchise is great, but we don't have to get all the way to the launch of Taylor's ship. If that's even the goal.

I really liked all 3, with Dawn being phenomenal. But Kingdom looks like a lame retread of the ORIGINAL and the effects look like a step back and unfortunately it does not have Matt Reeves at the helm either.

Laying the pipe for the franchise is great,

And they said the casting couch was dead.
