Thanks for the link----I had seen it before I posted on FSM.
I'm running out of storage room because I have a lot of bluray movies, so finding the cd rack with horizontal storage will help out.

I don't think it makes any difference at all whether to store them vertically or horizontally, though I don't understand how storing them horizontally "saves space", as they obviously occupy the same space, not matter how you store them. (Of course, depending on the form of the shelf, you might get in some more horizontally or vertically.)
I just recently replaced my old CD shelves with a new shelf that isn't actually a "CD shelf" but fits our room better. I store them vertically in a row, with a second row on top of the bottom row (I use some thin cardboard, so I can still pull out CDs from the bottom without those from the top falling down. It works for me. :-)
