As I revisit the excellent and informative thesis, is anyone else attending the 40th Anniversary screening this week? I did today, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great to see TMP on the big screen, where it is best suited, given its awe inspiring special effects, which still hold up beautifully, and majestic Goldsmith score. Looking back on it, and the films that followed, I wish the TMP blueprint had been continued - meaning larger scope, serious ideas, a true epic science fiction film. I am of course fond of all the sequels in varying degrees, but this would have been the approach worthy of the classic television show.

Alas I didn't get to see a screening as I am currently out of the country.
