I'm not too hard to find, JThree! Did you send messages that I've missed?
There are many projects I'd love to work on and some things I'm looking forward to tackling that I'm pleased to be involved with. Too involved a subject to go into here.
When Mr. Bricusse gets to L.A. in December we're going to see what we can do about Scrooge. I have a feeling that scoring masters are gone, but hopefully we can at least get the soundtrack album out. I also have some demos from Ian Fraser.
Thanks for the update Mike. A 50th anniversary release of even just the original album would make my Christmas!
I hope this happens. Beautiful score. The Laser Disc included the Overture but I don't believe subsequent releases did.
I believe the DVD had the Overture but it was on the menu, and that the Blu-Ray left it off.
That's correct.
Also the dvd is missing the exit music which was included on the laser and I believe the VHS tape.
My DVD has both the overture AND the exit music. Sad that the blu-ray didn't include them. Here's hoping for a 50th anniversary release of the score in any way they can get it out "thank you very much!!!!!"

While this year started with plans to try and tackle this with Mr. Bricusse's help, the world had other ideas and we've not been able to move forward with it for the anniversary.

Dear Sir: If not this year, perhaps in 2021. I will purchase it, if and when it ever gets released.
I haven't seen anything being said about the Sesquicentennial of Charles Dickens' passing anyway. It was the centennial that prompted Scrooge to be made in the first place. We will indeed keep at it and try for next year.

Wow, I somehow missed Mike’s response that this was even being considered! What a Christmas present this would be! I’m overjoyed that it sounds like it may just be a matter of time, rather than an insurmountable obstacle.
