The new Tadlow disc should make an interesting companion to this one:

The Night of the General waltz re-recording is one to anticipate gleefully.

I can't wait for this order to arrive. I will then have all of the Tadlow/Prometheus and Tribute Film Classics recordings. I am not familiar with Villa Rides, aside from the samples. The Professionals is one of my favorite scores by any composer.

Wow. This looks like a fantastic disk.

Awesome.

And, while I haven't ordered it yet, I'm thrilled you recorded VILLA RIDES! I remember searching the used LPs stores in Chicago for years before finally finding the old record in good shape.

Thank you for these great recordings!

'Lawrence' and 'The Alamo' for me. Have barely stopped playing them since they were purchased.

I received it today as well. "Notre Dame de Paris" is a most impressive and attractive work (love those cathedral bells at the start!). There's music from some truly obscure films such as, THE PALANQUIN OF TEARS, as well as much which is familiar, played and recorded wonderfully. It makes for a spendid Jarre showcase.

Has Duel in the Sun been announced? Is it a 'future' project? I was under the impression that Quo Vadis was the last of the Tadlow recordings...

Not all Tadlow recordings are for the Tadlow label. QUO VADIS is for Prometheus.

Duel in the Sun?

Are you kidding?

That's the mother of all holy grails.

I hope this is for real and not wishful thinking. DUEL IN THE SUN is my number one holy grail.

Re: DITS - No denials yet from Tadlow.

But yep - just like being English - it was unfortunately just wishful thinking on my part.

Mild.

I thought that the Notre Dame release wasn't available until July. Is it shipping now? If so, that's awesome!

A certain American distributor jumped the gun with shipping NOTRE DAME... it was supposed to come out on July 2nd, especially as I have been on vacation for the past week ....wonderful trip along the canals of England in a narrow boat ... not easy to post CDs however from there...then I have 24 hours to get home and then jet off to Malaga for the Classic Film Music concert I am sponsoring in Cordoba on June 30th. That concert was supposed to being the launch of the NOTRE DAME CD !!! Slightly ruined now....
