SO what was really limited? THIS MENTION: " Individually numbered. Only 2,049 copies of this edition exist!" ---------------------- A download, two seperate limited editions and a mainstream release but the contents are the same apart from a few packaging details............why was the term 'limited' used at all....?

The problem, to me, isn't that another limited edition was made, the problem is that basically the label broke every rule I think we'd want put in place when handling it: Don't limit it to an arbitrary number. Don't re-issue it shortly after the first sold out. Don't re-issue it with the same contents and just a different cover (at least most limited editions re-issues have sound improvements or source tape improvements, if nothing is added). Don't re-issue the limited edition from the same friggin' label that said the first edition was "limited". Other general rules they appear to not have broken (yet; though I skimmed the back pages): Don't make the second or third re-issue from the same label with each having one or more bonus tracks -- either do the whole damn thing or forget it. Don't pull this Target/Wal-Mart special bonus track shit on us. Don't have an immediate re-issue with duplicate contents at a lower price. Don't say the second re-issue is also limited if you know a third re-issue is coming from you shortly after the second sells out.

This CON (and that is what it is) from Epic Records won't do the future of CD buying any good. To announce something as a 'limited edition', take the money up front, keep all the info a bit vague about content and then for it to become widely and commercially available at a cheaper price right soon after could put people off committing to buy anything in the future. Once bitten and all that. Do consumers of this con have the option to cancel their order, get a refund and buy it at a more normal price or not bother? ALL pre-orders are final and nonrefundable...due to the nature of pre-orders...whatever that means. Remember? This is all fairly hilarious in its blatancy though. The exact same CD as the "limited edition" released in unlimited form immediately after a double sellout for half the price. Right...Epic Fail Records. Good luck with whatever your next "limited" edition happens to be. You only pull this thing once.

Do consumers of this con have the option to cancel their order, get a refund and buy it at a more normal price or not bother? ..... Apparently not......order form said: QUOTE: All pre-order sales are final. The nature of pre-order sales prohibits order modifications and cancellations......

You would think an argument could be made for being sold the product under false pretenses / shady business practices. I doubt a company that operates this way to begin with would respond to such an argument, but still...
