Here's a direct link to the griddle scene from Batteries Not Included

I wouldn't call BNI a fantasy "epic". But we've had discussions about such adjectives before.

So can anyone say how much unreleased score there is from *batteries not included? Sadly I'm not familiar with the film.

I dunno, there's an awful lot of big band music, Horner really ran with it after Cocoon.

Nope. It'll have the original album on the second CD.

And Yavar, Batteries Not Included is one of the most memorable films of my childhood. I saw it umpteen times (I was about 10 when it came out). You're missing a treat.

Batteries borrows a lot from Cocoon musically, and is in that soundspace.

There are some fantastic cues in the film that never made it onto the CD.
Not sure how much. I would guess around 20-25 minutes of missing stuff.
Plus, he says they found unused music.
And yeah, the 2nd disc will likely feature the original MCA issue.
BUT!!!
That's all if it is Batteries Not Included.

I’d really just like Rocketeer to come back in stock. Need that!

Wellconcerning "*batteries not included," recall liking it a lot, it's certainly a lot better than the sequel to "Cocoon."

For sure it's batteries.

The "grill" scene with the little spaceship and eggs.

Was on the edge hoping it was Willow

Hamburger Rhumba!

I also wouldn't call it 'fantasy', but still, it's probably *batteries.

Let's just hope they don't release it like that Interstellar projection box wink

If he's being this vague, it must be a big one that would be far too easily given up via clues.

Seriously hoping it’s BNI as this album has eluded me for years! Used to have the LP. Lovely score.

With regards to Cocoon The Return I always used to think this was second rate Horner but the deluxe edition has changed my mind. This is a great 70 minutes score.

After watching Land Before Time with the kid, and being all swept away in his lilting gorgeous themes I came to the conclusion that the absolutely best Horner was his 80's work, so this will be a nice treat.

Land Before Time is a fantastic score, and an amazing sounding recording to boot.

It's like a classical concert on CD (if that makes sense), and I can put that CD on any time, close my eyes and imagine the players in front of me.

Land Before Time doesn't have sci-fi elements.

Land Before Time doesn't have sci-fi elements.

Ado isn't saying it is - he's using it as an example of Horner's superior 80s work, not that TLBT is the Intrada release.

But there are two more Horners to come after this one. wink

Oh! Pardon me. Though hot dang, I'd buy a reissue of LBT too.
