Sign me up for all of those smile

If I had to prioritize, though, I'd really like a decent-sounding "Little Demons" and any kind of a release of "Rabbit and Rogue" and "Overeager Overture." Elfman's non-film music (Serenada Schizophrana and Iris) has been incredibly impressive, and another release in that vein would be great. If they can release the music Philip Glass wrote for Tharp, they can surely do Elfman.

"Fortune Teller" is the one with the odd looking puppets right? loved the music in that youtube clip. you guys haven't mentioned "Iris" so i'm guessing that one has already being released?

That has a full length CD:

Really wonderful too.

ordered immediately. thanks for the link

I'd be most excited about releases of his early work...

BACK TO SCHOOL (the film tracks),
SUMMER SCHOOL,
HOT TO TROT (a greatly underrated gem! It's more like a sequel score to PW'S BIG ADVENTURE than BIG TOP PW is!)
and
I wouldn't mind paying for a "fixed" BEETLEJUICE, where the score is presented chronologically, not arranged into weird suites after the album tracks (I still blame Thor for several of the discs being arranged like this, per his baffling demand that the original album presentations be preserved in Richard Kraft's Elfman Box Request thread... thanks for doing that, and then not even buying the set himself!)

Of his later work,
DEEP SEA 3D and THE FAMILY MAN really deserve to be out in some form.

It would be nice to have the actual film version of the "Main Titles" too. The one on the box set is not from the film and is not the one on the album. Weird!

All these unreleased material could be sumarized on 3 minutes suites on a single album.

None of it needs to have more than that amount of music released.

It's Elfman. Who really cares?

A Family Man score album needs to have Harry Partridge's dance mix of the "I Want That Cake" scene as a bonus track.

Yor, the future just called. They need you back there right away!! smile

Translation = I do tend to agree with your comments AND find you quite funny, in a novel kind of way, but on the subject of Danny Elfman....YOR DEAD WRONG!!!

Don't take YOR wrong.

Elfman is nice in a mediocre kind of way. He's much better than Hanzimmer and his pets, tough.

But, come on, there are thousands of unreleased / incomplete scores from the true masters.

Lets focus on what matters.

It is simple logic.

It is simple logic.

And what matters right now is Danny Elfman. It is simple logic.

Elfman maybe matters on this particular tread, but not right now.

Elfman maybe matters on this particular tread, but not right now.

Last I checked, Elfman is one the most popular of all film composers. So I think Elfman matters quite a bit.

Milly Vanilly was very popular too.

Popularity means nothing.

Who in his right mind would want the complete score from NACHO LIBRE???

Maleficio is right. Elfman really matters. Listen to REAL STEEL . It's outstanding how Elfman writes such subtle material for summer blockbusters ! When the score finishes with a simple piano single note , you just feel like throwing your Jablonsky's cds to the garbagge !

YOR agrees that Elfman is better than Zimmer-Jablonsky-Gleeny-Smith-Whatever.

But, then again, someone smashing a keyboard with a cat is also better than those people.

The truth must be spoken always. Even when it hurts.

FACE LIKE A FROG is a short animated film - so the piece included in "Music for a Darkened Theatre" may well be the complete score. If it is not the complete score, what's left out is probably not imperitive listening.
