Isn't it funny that crazy old John Maher hasn't returned? Isn't it funny? What's funny about it, Bruce? What is it that I am supposed to be posting here?

Isn't it funny that crazy old John Maher hasn't returned? Isn't it funny? What's funny about it, Bruce? What is it that I am supposed to be posting here? Here is what you posted: "I was never talking about the opening credits. And, when does Mitchum sing the song in the film? Finally, why should anyone care what I think?" And here was my response: WHAT? What does this mean: "So, absolutely nothing definitive regarding who's singing. When I listen to TEF's recording of it, there are differences between how he sings certain words, compared to the title sequence in the film. I'm not convinced it is him, singing in the film. The voice on the film's soundtrack sounds exactly like the voice on Thunder Road, which is Mitchum. But, like I said, nothing definitive." I have some marbles here, which I'm happy to send you, since you seem to have lost yours." Now, there seems to be some confusion, doesn't there, John? In one post you compare something to the title sequence in the film, and then in another post you say you were never talking about the opening credits. I think you could have come back and posted something like "Gee, I guess I was wrong about Mitchum, given what I've seen in this thread, and gee I guess I sort of contradicted myself, didn't I?" But instead, you make another disingenuous Internet-like post.

Except I never said it was Mitchum singing. So why would I post that I was wrong about it being him? All I said was that I haven't read anyting definitive. I haven't. All my searches have found statements that one is singing during opening credits and the other is singing during closing credits, or that Mitchum is singing both, or that TEF is singing both. Nothing definitive. I've found more hits saying it is Mitchum than TEF. That means nothing, I know, which is why I said there's nothing definitive. And yes, I was referring to the difference I heard on that recording vs. the singing during the credits, but I was thinking about the differences between the opening and closing credits, when I wrote that, and made a mistake. I have nothing else to say on it. In fact, I've stopped looking for any more information about it.
