We tried to do Aramgeddon, but were shot down a few times.

If you want expanded Rabin or unreleased Rabin you have to ask Intrada. They are the only label Disney works with.

Weren't you working on Bad Boys II?

Bad Boys 1.

No, "Bad Boys 2". From a post in December of 2015:

Bad boys 2 may happen in 2016. Things got delayed at Sony due to the hack.

That along with the news about Bad Boys is terrible news. What are the reasons? Rabin? Or the other composers working with Rabin i.e. those that shared the main credits / jointly composed the score e.g. Con Air / Armageddon / Enemy of the State

Bad Boys 2 would have quite the list of co-composers. Steve Jablonsky helped quite a bit (seems like almost half the score is his), Trevor Morris, Al Clay, Toby Chu and I think I read that even Harry Gregson-Williams helped with a cue (if I remember right.) Of course there's also Rabin's frequent partner, Paul Linford. Then there's the Dr. Dre stuff and his list of additional composers.

I wonder if Rabin would ever pull another situation like on Armageddon. "I only want my music on the album."

Just rewatched Deep Blue Sea, and boy is it missing a ton of music! After sitting through complete garbage at the theater this year, it was a nice break to watch a late 90s action movie with a heroic and kickass score. Say what you will about power anthems, but Rabin knew how to get you pumped during the finale! The labels really need to start releasing more of his music. He really wasn't too far removed from Jerry Goldsmith, composing fantastic scores for absolute crap films (Bad Company, American Outlaws, Texas Rangers, I'm looking at you!)

I doesn't appear that Rabin is on Intrada's radar:

As we have mentioned on numerous occasions, our shopping list with Disney is endless, including countless scores from their 1970's - 1990's vaults, scores from their recent catalog, select animation titles, vintage scores (Paul Smith, Oliver Wallace, etc.), Ron Goodwin comedies, the Touchstone library, Hollywood Pictures, etc. And that's just with Disney. There are hordes of soundtracks from other film and TV studios still worthy of release. As it is we have new Disney music out every month, as well as something from one of the other studios. And for every month that we bring more Disney music out, we get further requests for things that haven't been released yet. It's the nature of collectors, of course. We have our own want lists, too, and sometimes we want to focus on that. I can't say we'll be around long enough to hit everybody's holy grails... but I'm also pretty sure none of you will be around long enough to see every single one of them happen either.

Varese should be able to put out Deep Blue Sea at least. That has to be one of their in-perp titles.

Con Air, Armageddon, Enemy of the State, Gone in 60 Seconds, Bad Company, The Guardian, I Am Number Four... all Touchstone (Disney). Then there's the other Disney movies: Remember The Titans, National Treasure, National Treasure 2, G-Force, Race to Witch Mountain, Sorcerer's Apprentice... So I have hopes that Intrada will touch on at least a few of these releases.

Bumping this thread to show some love for Trevor Rabin during Quarantine Pandemic 2020. To this day, some of his best music remains sadly unreleased. I know his rock/power anthem style wasn't for everyone, but he was able to infuse many of these dumb action flicks with a sense of heroism and general badassery that is sorely missing in films today. And let's be honest... the man could write a damn good theme!

My immediate choices for expansions would be Armageddon, Deep Blue Sea, National Treasure 2, and Bad Company.

This.

I'd love a deluxe version of Armageddon with Harry's music and I'd love to read the notes about their process of scoring it. And Enemy of the State as well.

But really, I'd take any Rabin expansion right now. Just to get the ball rolling since it feels he's been overlooked. Or maybe he doesn't want his music released.

It's indeed a shame Rabin hasn't gotten any love from any of the labels yet, considering he scored several popular films in the late 90's / early 00's I'd imagine they could at least sell 1.000 copies.

A complete Armageddon is definitely one of Holy Grails! I also would love to see official releases of Remember the Titans and Bad Company and expanded editions of Deep Blue Sea and The 6th Day.

I'll say again...its a crying shame that there has been no interest in releasing Trevor's EXORCIST:THE BEGINNING score. Wonderful modern horror scoring with tons of atmosphere and style.

It would be interesting definitive CD release with Trevor Rabin score and inclusion of unused music by Michael Kamen and Christopher Young. DonĀ“t know if anything of music by MK & CHY was recorded or if there are any demos or any form of music at all.

Yep, a short suite titled "BMBBO." So pretty much the entire score remains unreleased, roughly 84 min.
